VINTAGE ANY ONLINE GAME!!!!

Look, EA are a terrible company, i get it, there is many things to slate them with, but complaining about EARLY access on an online game (pro-tip - they are going to release with the server capacity they expect long term, not the surge that always accompanies an online game release as it just doesn't make economic sense) is a bit silly......

My advice would be to wait a week or two and let them get their patches out (you can do all the beta testing in the world and still get plagued with issues on launch) and server fixes in place before you partake.

I don’t think people are moaning too much about the servers. More that the game is apparently buggy as hell.

Yeah man, welcome to current day 1 of release. Let the public do the final QA checks. Standard fare these days, crap, but it is the way it is.

Best way to avoid is:

Don't buy these shoddy games
Don't try them out until it has had a little time to mature.

Or just avoid EA games. They have very little substance. Haven't enjoyed an EA game since fifa 98 or desert strike.

A very long but very critical review of Anthem and modern-day BioWare.
The tl;dr is:
  • None of BioWare's historic success in merging great story and gameplay (like KOTOR, Mass Effect, etc)
  • Its a looter/shooter, and a very bad one compared to others such as Destiny/The Division/etc.
  • Devoid of variation and content
  • Buggy and crammed full of loading screens

It looks like a shoddy Destiny clone to me. They wanted in on that cash grab so they attempted to copy another franchise and it will probably end up failing.

What bothers me more than anything is that it’s a freakin ‘battle royal’ title that will keep EA afloat this year.

To me, it's the game they never wanted to make and instead were mandated to make by EA.

I think after Andromeda and this, Bioware will be shut down inside the next two years and become EA's latest high profile victim.

I won’t be shedding any tears to be honest. Their team is fairly different from the minds behind KOTOR, Baldur’s gate, ME1 and DAO. These pseudo rpg clowns need to die
