RS don't even need their strongest XI out there tonight. Might as well rest one of Mane / Salah ahead of the weekend's game which is much more important. If RS keep a clean sheet tonight, they're through imo.

Bayern have at least achieved the objective of forcing Liverpool to play a full 11 anyway. Last year it was like a training exercise for them until the quarter final. Bayern are poor but it would be typical of the RS to underestimate one of the biggest names in European football. They’ve clearly learned nothing from the final last year. Regardless of form the mentality of Madrid Bayern Barcelona doesn’t just disappear. They don’t need to pay reverence to anyone. The starting line up will still probably be something like

Neuer

Kimmich Sule Hummels Alaba

Alcantara Martinez
Rodriguez

Coman Lewandowski Ribery

There’s still more than enough in that team to punish any cockiness. If Bayern can get out with a narrow loss or less then it will be job done for them as Klopps European away record with Liverpool is beyond awful.

Then City beat them and within a couple weeks they were out the F.A. Cup and off the top of the table.

Failing to win tonight then defeat at OT on Sunday would be a big blow to their morale as we get toward the business end of the season,

I agree completely I want them out asap , they can't win any competition they are no longer in

I really dont understand how ratings are so high, I really cant be bothered watching it anymore. I know I would watch if it was Everton, but every other game is just a reepeat of a fixture from the previous year and will be the same fixture next year.

Nonsense. The CL knock out rounds are superb. So are the Europa from the 1/4 finals onwards

0-0 draw maybe. Admittedly 1-1 would be better

A team as experienced as Bayern shouldn’t be filling their lederhosen over a game at The Theatre of Trolls

I see UEFA have sent an Italian ref who likes to give penalties and red cards.
