You are definitely a red am from Liverpool an have loads of red mates ones you can actually talk about football with too as well an not blag footy fans that just love the reds but don’t have a clue an they was all made up when they thought they was building a stadium on Stanley park. To the point now they see a lot of the other big clubs getting or planning for new stadiums an they got a stand they love anfield an they love how it is on a European night under the lights but they would love a brand new state of the art stadium every teams fans would they think they could fill one the size of old Trafford so you tell me why wouldn’t they want a new massive stadium.

Mate, why don’t you go and ask some Liverpool fans, be it in person or on social media.

I’m a red and a wool, now, am I?

Hahahha.

You take offence at me calling you “mate”, then call me “lad”.

Look, mate, turn it in. It’s boring, lad.

Personally, I prefer traditional football stadiums to modern ones. However, I realise that we do need a new ground. I just don’t see it happening any time soon.

I didn’t take offence I don’t get offended on a forum I like a good debate. Claiming Liverpool would rather stay where they are then move to a Wembley sized stadium tho is stupid sure I agree what you have said about there stadium is all true but they would all love to have the biggest club stadium in the country.

I love goodison myself every Everton fan will but to progress we need a new stadium an the one been talked about is at the perfect location. In my opinion the only location that would have been better would have been kings dock. That said I actually think this stadium will happen I no it’s not the best to get your hopes up when it comes to Everton but I think everyone at the club knows how important it is that this comes off.

You were called on it twice by 2 other posters on that line i highlighted.

"A new stadium is a much bigger deal than who's having a better season than the other. "

That's like saying Lyon move into a new stadium for 16/17 right after the euro championships in France and they had better season than PSG who just won a domestic treble at the end of that season because you think having a new stadium trumps everything that happens on a pitch during a season.

That's why i used the classic George Costanza gif because it was very apt for that line.

I'd just ignore him, he is a complete numpty.

I posted this earlier this month....

You see, its the passive aggressive back hand slaps and sweeping generalisations that get thrown in that make genuine Evertonians suspect bogus Blues. Its hardly covert either so you cant blame people sounding out hard faced imposters who haven't even got the acumen to camouflage themselves with any trace of intellect. Noone on here is a scumbag by the way ...as someone once said...."Fact".

And today.....

Give over, mate. You, like a lot of modern day blues, need to take your blinkers off. Like it or not, Liverpool is a world famous football club and Anfield is a world famous football stadium. Personally, I don’t want to leve Goodison for a generic, soulless bowl.

Uncanny, innit ? But clearly a coincidence. :pint2:

They are definitely fuming over BMD

Kopite Lurkers - good teams come and go and your only ever one bad managerial recruitment away from ploughing down the table:

1. Liverpool post Benitez

2. Man Utd post SAF

Both sides struggled under managers like Woy, Rodgers, Moyes, LVG etc.

All it takes is for Klopp to go and and it could all come crumbling down.

BMD on the other hand is part of a 5 billion pound regeneration project smack bang in the city centre on the iconic waterfront that will put EFC in a commanding position commercially for decades to come.

I would say Everton fans have much more to be looking forward to in the future especially if the stadium brings in a cough wealthy investor...

Everton is a world famous football club as well.Goodison is also a world famous stadium.Everton were big, long before that lot became a big club.

Because they can never be happy.

It is a basic requirement of any cult......the need to feel persecuted where no persecution exists or has ever existed.

They feel the world is against them and they seek re-assurance from like minded souls.

It was probably an unintended coincidence that the popular end at The Pit became known as Spion Kop.....because the Laager mentality permeates that rotten club and its fanatics.

Even in their moment of greatest triump, when first they brought the European Cup back to the city, their skipper could not resist the urge to tell a hundred thousand people gathered outside St. George’s Hall that “Liverpool are magic, Everton are tragic”

in the glorious eight years that followed that infamous night in 1977, when they were sweeping all before them, they became insanely jealous of Manchester United because, in spite of winning nowt, the media still lionised that club as the “most glamourous” club in England.

The RS has always been a club with a huge chip on its shoulder......and that rankled with them then, it still rankles to this very day.

And the thoughts of us moving to a brand spanking new, state of the art, iconic stadium right on Liverpool’s fabled waterfont whilst they languish, landlocked, in an area EFC moved out of when Victoria was still Queen is a bitter pill for them to swallow......no matter if they achieve great success on the field and we languish in continued mediocrity.

Hence the uneasiness and undisguised bitterness and bile they are displaying over BMD.

Everton were robbed against the rs, in that years FA Cup semi final as well.So that made Emlyn Hughes taunts all the more nasty.

In fairness the two usually go hand in hand.
