And yet our last 2 managers managed to get them to 7th and 8th.

Koeman's first season we had Rom - so it's a moot point. What, 25 lg goals that season? That was the difference between us and the rest
.
Last year, Burnley won 1 game in 11 yet we couldn't catch them. I think Sam could have done more to try and catch up, because the rest of the league was so poor. The lg this year isn't much different but Wolves have come in with a settled side, even if the actual squad isn't that strong. Bournemouth, Leicester and West Ham have both brought in players to improve (albeit their still below us). The only ones that haven't really improved in terms of additions would be Watford, you'd have to say.

How we finished 8th last year just showed how crap the league is. The fact that we're still ninth now shows that - even with a game in hand - the teams around us have just been as bad / inconsistent as us.

The money spent isn't really even the main argument for me in this instance because bar Watford and Bournemouth, the teams around us have spent comparable amounts of money. It boils down to players being inconsistent/incapable of doing the basics, and the same can be said of the manager(s) - i.e. Silva, Howe, Pellegrini, Puel.

One of the really annoying things for me this season is that the league has again been proper rubbish from 7th down like it was last season and it was a season that we could have easily achieved 7th place and with a fairly large gap below us and we wouldn't have had to even been great to achieve it, just a steady slow gradual improvement throughout the season with room for a few hiccups along the way.

I look at what we should have comfortably achieved and what we have actually achieved and you have to be brutally honest and say that it is an absolute disgrace. The whole club should be ashamed of themselves and it should be the supporters who are being rewarded for their efforts patience and loyalty the last few months, not the overpaid underworked players.

Even if he wins a few games in these remaining fixtures, there is no guarantee we wont go on another abysmal 14 games and counting run next season. Needs more time my ass. Needs to be told no thanks, we will find someone who can do their job properly.

There would still be people saying we cannot keep changing managers and he needs more time and we are in transition if we were in the championship LoL. lol

My cat could get our current group of players into 7th.

Silva is like that attractive girl/boy you've fancied for ages, she/he finally agrees to go out with you, the first dates are promising, and then you finally get her/him into bed and find out she/he is a total let down, but you're not sure whether to end it...
