Terrible example.

The actual example is that you don’t know anything about finance and anyone that does can tell in about five seconds. Which is fine, but you are expressing opinions based on your feeling and hunches about stuff that have sustantive facts behind them. Your mischaracterization of Moshiri’s investment in the club is pathetic.

Look, we are trying to cut the wage bill. That’s fine. It’s a fine debate. If you think that makes his a carpetbagger, fine.
I love this ^^^ I'm being told to stick to the facts by someone who believes Moshiri's impact has been a positive one. We've slipped down the pecking order on the pitch and we're now in a period of cuts as a direct result of his decision making.

THEY are the 'substantive facts'. It's happened on the carpetbagger's watch. But, please, continue your eulogising of this man.

But moshiri doesn't buy the players, pick the players or pick the tactics. He hired a management team that failed miserably. He has corrected it. It is just unfortunate that we went off the rails for a few years. That is what set us back.

Yeah Marco going to tell the world we have silly cash to splash. 'Please football world take us to the cleaners. We are desperate for a striker.'

Get real lads. Read between the lines.

...which was the source of the chaos...and let's not forget he has also tinkered with player trading too. A back seat driver.

3 of our top 5 biggest earners (Schneiderlin, tosun, Walcott) will deservedly be on the bench or not even in the squad this weekend. Shockingly bad transfer activity from Walsh.
I hated every second the man was here don’t get me wrong. But Koeman was a successful prem manager and ex Barca player prior to coming to the club and Walsh oversaw the great Leicester run to prem champs. In Moshiri’s defense on paper those are 2 very solid picks

Up to now he's turned us into Watford.

And we come full circle. It is a work in progress, and we are rebuilding for the next attempt. The first attempt largely failed but not for the want of trying - on paper the decisions taken looked good, hence the widespread optimism at the time, but as often happens in football things didn't work out. It's clear that Moshiri is trying to learn from the mistakes to get a better result this time around for himself and for Everton. You seem to be demanding everything be better right now when it obviously takes time to affect change. If we start next season without a striker, and without most of those 16 players moved on then I would start to worry but until then why not just try being optimistic rather than assuming everything is one big massive conspiracy to keep Everton fans in a permanent state of misery?

Dave has to have a hate figure at the club. Koeman left, he likes Silva (he might even go full Martinez on him - fingers crossed) so the "carpet bagger" theme is back. Standard.

He has to have one at every level at the club

Mosh the carpet bagger
Baines and jags the fake, loser snides
Brands “ the failure of he doesn’t sign a top striker this month”

Hiring goes wrong all the time. It's not new. I agree over his meddling with transfers but it seems to have been a one off during a disastrous period.

I worry that this will end like Al Fayed at Fulham, but for now I back what he is trying to achieve.
