Funny though, as when he signed he was billed as being a specialist in this area but he has shown nothing but woeful set piece ability since he has been here, Digne is by far the better out of the two.

Not sure about that. The last two times I remember us playing Portuguese clubs we got absolutely thumped (Sporting and Benfica). Plus that league is a hotbed of exciting talent, don't think you can discount a players ability if he's doing the business regularly in Portugal.

I think theyre very different players mate...the only 3 similarities i can think of are;

1 -- Long shots
2 -- Leadership (Gylfi for his country)
3 -- Covering distance per game

Zat is ok in his own way
Rarely if ever offensive , comes up with some good ideas , has a true passion for Everton

haha, yeah we had a glorified PE teacher last time don't forget, Brands is the real deal, he will have players lined up ready to come in, and the players we want to get rid of will be given their marching orders, i reckon it will all be done fairly early in the summer.

As much as i think he can achieve this i still think that we need to shift out a good 5 players this window...there needs to be 1 or 2 players brought in to begin the work before the summer...

If Fernandes was performing as he did the last 2 seasons (havent seen him this year aside from highlights) in the prem he'd be one of the best in the league.

Lads give out about Moshiri but it was reported that he wanted Brands from day one to run the footballing side and Brands said no
Brands even told him to sign Gomes back then
When Moshiri went back in for Brands it proved he wants what is best for the club and Moshiri knows his limitations
Imagine if Brands has been here from day one of Moshiris reign
The stones money , the Lukaku Momey and the Moshiri money
He would have either kept Barkley or got a lot more money for him

Brandalf is the one...if we had, had him during the Martinez reign with some cash i think we would have done better + if before Koeman we would never have appointed him.

Some super talent has come from Portugal over the years and their teams have always looked cohesive with some star players in the lineups...

Cant compare to Scotland or even Holland.
