Exactly..you can have the best goalscorer in the world but if there isnt anyone creating those chances goals will always be scarce.
We have been crying out for midfield creativity for god knows how long.
It’s also about coaching and team building. Players need to learn and understand where their teammates are likely be and intuitively seek them out. Good teams don’t hesitate around around the box because they know immediately and instinctively act .
It is this team building that makes or breaks or managers, whether they will be given the time to achieve it before an impatient set of supporters or a trigger happy board terminate their efforts often prematurely.
We are just half a season into this process and need to be patient.

Of course, we're wasteful, but we've also been so unsolid at the back.

We conceded a goal away from home. It happens.

Even though we were crap, it's unforgiveable that we didn't score given the play we had. At worst we should have taken a point. We are toothless in front of goal. I blame the players every bit as much as the tactics.

Toothless? We banged in 5 the week before. I think the word your looking for is inconsistent and we will continue to be that way unless we sign better players and appoint a better manager.

Most of you wanted big Sam out so this is what you can expect. An inconsistent gamble of a transitional team. If you wanted better results then Sam should have stayed but you didn't so just we will all have to accept it for what it is.

We lost to Burnley last year under Sam. What's your point JJ?

We wanted Sam out because his ceiling is the exact same as what we currently have. Midtable.

I see you still haven't taken up my advice on giving up the booze.

Alladyce was gash mate and would never have worked well with Brands.

Moshiri was right to bin him however he sadly replaced him with yet another midtable dud.

Sure, but De Boer was a catastophe, Silva is not.

He's not far off. Look at his results at watford he's so patchy and its the same here. Win one week defeat the next time after time he just doesnt provide consistently as he hasnt the tactical nous or game management to go on a good run.

He also clearly can not organise a defence and we are still shockingly bad defending and attacking corners.

If Mosh had sense hand Mourinho/Mancini/Conte/Wenger/Zidane/Sampaouli/Nagellsman or any other top manager who has had success and give them a blank cheque and promise of a war chest in January and the summer to get us whats needed to make an assault on the top 6 over the next 2-3 seasons.

Absolutely no way will we achieve anything with this inconsistent clown. The club are simply wasting time and money persisting with him.

Perspective needed tbf West Ham have had their 3 best players out injured in Arnatovic, Lanzini and Yarmolenko. Yes Arnie is back today but is likely rusty whereas we've had a full strength for weeks now and have regressed.

There's more perspective needed from people saying we're going backwards than someone pointing out West Ham are just as inconsistent as us.

They were proper garbage today. I did the report. Awful.

Just like us yesterday. Because we're inconsistent sides and especially so at this time of year. It's the build up of games - look at Spurs for example - that doesn't help.

You may be right in your assertions that the pigeons are coming home to roost.

Lol

You've just tried saying Nagellsman is a top manager? The bloke has had less success than Silva. Same with Sampouli.

You're utterly mental mentioning Zidane and Conte. And Mourinho.

Bore off ffs

We aren't Manchester City. There isn´t enough money to go out and buy the best players in the world. Can´t see a scenario in which Conte thinks coming to coach this squad of players would be a good idea. It´s a huge project and a bloody difficult one.

Every job out there is tough, you dont think going to real madrid or a chelsea is tough where one bad season (and by bad not winning La Liga or finishing in the top 4) and your guaranteed to be out the door?

Conte is unemployed

Mourinho is unemployed

Zidane is unemployed

Mancini managers Italy in which international football is 2nd rate compsred to club football these days

Nagellsman is managing Hoffenheim who are a stepping stone and have nowhere near the money or wages that we can offer

Sampaouli is managing Santos

Top managers out there and not many top vacanies other than Man Utd. Nows the time to get someone in rather than waiting.

Thing is, I don't think anyone is saying Silva is blameless. I'm sure there's things he could do better.

But ffs, people are acting like we're bottom three. We have some dead weird fans who genuinely seem to be at their happiest when stuff is going wrong. It's strange.
