ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Honestly if the hostilities in the Middle East came to an end and world peace was declared the media coverage would still pale in comparison to an RS title win. I wouldn't be able to bear it
You're not far wrong as the precedent is already there.
When the first Gulf War was at its most intense, the news and every media outlet was naturally saturated with coverage of that.
But wait, Kenny Dogleash resigns as manager after we beat them in the cup replay, and suddenly that was deemed more newsorthy and was lead story on TV and papers.

If City beat them, and we turn up at Goodison, City ought to win the league.

If and buts though. We rarely beat them, City are in a slump, Liverpool look excellent. Hot favourites to win the league in any case.

If they had lost the odd game here or there I would be confident in them slipping however I fear they are having a Leicester otherworldly season where literally everything goes there way.

I dont just mean in luck or ref decisions but also how they had players like Huth, Simpson and Morgan playing like Vidic, Rio and Evra in their prime- seem familiar to that lot with even Lovren at the back helping them keep clean sheets at present.

Conceeding 7 goals just isn't normal and their back line minus Van Dijk is hardly anything special it has 2 kids and Hulls former LB in it.

That's the weird thing, when you look at that RS team on paper they look nothing Special.

At the risk of getting bullets in the post, fair play to them if, as they should do, go on to win it. That's based on the first half of the season.
Now the pressure really ramps up this second half and it's here, we'll see if they can hold their nerve.
Like I've said before, it's their fans who get on my nipple end, so whereas I'll shrug my shoulders if their team wins it, there will be unbridled joy from me to watch their fanbase implode if they fail, again.

Yep same here, the fans just make it unbearable the flag waving scarf swirling poet prancing knobheads do my absolute head in.

It won't just be the trophy parade where 1 million people invade the city (900k of them have no affinity to the club whatsoever) but it will go on for months and months and months and months and on TV and documentaries and my missus will remind me day after day hour after hour after hour.

Anyone who lives out of the city it will be bad, anyone who lives in the city it is plain and simple unbearable.

Wasn't the ball played to firminho who was offside, having said that they have had 2 goals given since then in a similar instance. Arsenal had a couple of tight off side calls go against them in that game aswell.

It was Mane who was standing in an offside position when the ball went to Firminho (who was onside) mate, but Mane wasn't involved in the build up, so wasn't interfering with play, Firminho then has a shot (Mane is back onside when the shot is taken) it comes back off the post, and Mane taps in, so goal should have stood.

For every incident that goes against them you can name 10 that go for them though.

Well that's down to interpretation, some refs give it some don't, I thought the 2 was standing next to each other, I suppose I've got that one wrong, they are still sneaky rats and I stand by that.

At the end of the day, you can fluke a cup win (Istanbul, Cardiff penalties, West Ham Penalties), but you can't fluke a League win, and if they're top of the tree come May, then sadly, they deserve it.

I know a load of reds who go the game, and they give an accurate read on them, and i don't mind them. The smarmy, sleazy ones who have never seen inside Anfield, or worse, the birds, who haven't watched a game all season, then magically have found a new replica shirt with "Champions 18-19", they're the ones i despise. Bomb them.

Still not convinced they've had their bad spell yet, but when things like Pickford's cockup, and Mahrez missing that pen are going in your avour, it usually means that you're having a boss run of it. How many times did you see United fluke a game in the "golden" days?

Easy to say sat in Wales mate . Try living in the city when they win something.

And btw I don’t think it’s over . But I know the reality of them winning it is like hell on earth.
Try living here with all the beauts wearing full kit and claiming to be second cousin twice removed from uncle scouser so this gives them an obvious link to the club they have supported for the past 3 months

I wouldn’t wish being welsh on my worst enemy . But nothing compares to this city when them 2@‘s win a trophy .
