Player Valuation: £750k
Here's a thought.

Our Wayne is in the middle of a fallout with Sir Alex, who fancies Jack Rodwell.

We need a goalscorer more than a holding midfielder/ would be centre-back

There is also every chance that we have the next United manager.

Swap?

Sloop John B.....

He doesn't like Man-You
cos he's really still a blue
Just call Bill Kenwright and say you want to come home
He wants to come home
he wants to come ho-o-ome
Fat little knobhead
He wants to come home

not Rodwell though, John "I'm flattered" Heitinga maybe, or the Penislaaaaaaaar that will end up going anyway.

Even if he falls out with Fergie it will take [Poor language removed] loads of money to get him back, so unless we get a sugardaddy or sell Fellaini to Real Madrid I can't see him coming back this side of him being 30.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying Rooney will be one of those early peakers - a la Owen, Fowler, peaking between 20-24. In two years' time he'll be a shadow of the player we've become used to. You have other strikers like Drogba, Wright, Henry Shearer etc who peaked much later in ther careers, but I don't think Rooney will be like this.

So he will engineer his own transfer to us, buy falling out with Fergie, paying his own transfer fee (United will never let him run down his contract) - a bit too well-thoughout strategy for our Wayne don't you think.

Not for his agent though, who'll then tell him when he's paid it all himself that he wants his 10% of the transfer fee.

im not saying i think it will happen but utd cant do anything about it if he wants to run his contract down! apart from put him in the ressies! and hes at the point now were he pretty much has run his contract down already! oh and his market value has got to be dropping by the week at the mo to!!

It would be infinitely amusing if he strolled out on free though.

Presumably United have gangsters to ensure stuff like that doesn't happen.

If we waited until next summer, he'd only have a year left on his contract.

WE also get 25% or 20% of his next signing fee, which is effectively money off.

Heitinga and Pienaars proposed wages would probably cover the 130k that Rooney wants a week (ridiculous as that is).

He'd obviously have to apologise to the goodison faithful first, and maybe whipped naked down Scotty road.

After that it'd be plain sailing.

Point is , if you asked him to put his hand on hs heart today , he'd say he wanted to come back .

I would imagine he'll stay until Taggart does one , but after that , all bets are off . THIS is what comes of player power , but this time we could actually benefit .
