Gonna tempt fate here, but apart from not giving Mane a yellow for handball, the refs done well.

It's kinda funny, earlier in the thread someone criticised their fans for not knowing the rules after they wanted a backpass against Gueye.

Yet there's been about 50 posts claiming Mane should have been booked for his handball when he quite correctly wasn't.

Handball is only a yellow card if it stops a promising attack, an attempt to score or an unsucessful attempt to stop a goal. Mane did none of those things.

Despite what happens second half, that first half confirmed the start a new era for me.

Best half I’ve seen from us for ages at Anfield. Even if they spawn it second half they’ve had a wake up call there, even City or PSG didn’t carve out those sort of chances against them at Anfield. If not this year it won’t be long before the duck breaks with Silva at the helm.

First derby in years I’ve been relaxed watching, hoping these tire the last 25 minutes and we can hit them on the counter I’m going to say 2-0 Richarlison and Lookman off the bench

We've been good but so so wasteful. Got to give credit to their keeper I suppose but this is the leanest defence in the league yet we've cut them to ribbons. Can't say we deserve to be ahead because they've been equally wasteful. But this is the difference between us and the top 6. We're like this every away game, yet they only get one or two chances and bury them. We go to places like Bournemouth should have scoring five but ending up dropping points.

But we're going places, Bernard and gomes have been so so classy on the ball which is what we need to kick on. For years we've had good teams but not comfortable on the ball.

Walcott has been the worst player on the park by a mile, haul him off and bring on Lookman. Gomes is some player getting more expensive to buy every game, have to do a deal in January or we won't afford him.
