We ain't clinical though. We don't work the goalkeeper anywhere near enough and don't take most of the chances we make. Even with Sigurdsson on set pieces we can't even convert from corners or his free kicks. We need massive luck to beat them.

I am quite happy with our goals scored column this season, especially compared to last. We took our chances at Leicester. Its just psychological to think the ground were playing at means we wont on Sunday. We need a bit of luck yea, but that goes for every game.

wouldnt be surprised to be alot of changes for them, i think shaqiri, alexander-arnold, sturridge and keita will all start...maybe even fabinho as well

Milner and wijnaldum are nailed on to start in the centre and then one if Keita or Fabinho alongside them, not arsed really as I don't think any of them will outwork gueye, as they all look either not fit or goosed, on form our midfield three are looking well sharper than whatever combo they stick together, up front their three looks tired - mane aside, our three look fresh but out of form. If they get there legs back it'll be a long day, if ours hit form it'll be a great day.

At the back both have good keepers, difference is they have a CB who against 10+ teams in this league can completely neuter whoever's up front.

Both teams are fully in top form across the park they beat us, thing is they've been grinding results out without looking 100% and with a bit of luck along the way, we've been way better since getting everyone fit, but again due to the front three being out of form not putting teams away and dropping points in the tougher away games due to that, Walcott and Bernard alone have missed about 8 sitters the last 4-5 games

There is an obsession on here(and some other forums) concernng the lack of goals from corners. Fact is not too many goals come from corners throughout the Prem. Theres a statistic somewhere showing that a goal is scored in the sequence of play from a corner only once every twenty plus corners. THe actual figures would be interesting, if anyone has them.

Mane is the one I'm worried about. Mainly for the diving and inevitable Coleman challenge. The battle will be won and lost on how we deal with their left side considering our right side is the weakest area of the pitch. Walcott is gonna have to be on it to track Robertson all game. If Coleman is left 1 on 1 with Mane then its gonna end in tears.

I'd rather WAlcott did what he does best...let the RS worry about his pace on the break and getting in behind them. Let Robertson have to track Walcott, thats the way it should be. If Robertson gets stuck upfield, the RS know that Gomez will be drawn out to cover Walcott, leaving a massive gap in the centre of the RS defence for Siggy to stroll through. Let them worry about US and the game takes care of itself.

I reckon the RS will revert back to how they played last season on Sunday, high tempo, full on pressing game. Deep down I reckon Klopp hates us and will want to give us a pasting.

They haven't got the legs right now to do that mate, also Keita and Fabinho haven't adjust to that system, klopps not a total idiot, he's seen last season and in training this that he's got a squad whose legs haven't got that game in them for another season, not a chance he'd be playing this was otherwise as he's wedded to that gegenpress tactic normally.

They'll try turn this into a scrappy game and look to hit the channels for mane and Salah. Guarantee they will try kick the crap out of Gomes and Richarlison early on.

Think is with Gomes and sigurdsson we have two in the centre who can handle that press if they try it, and have the pace to expose them if they try and fail

Need to go 3 at the back as Mane vs Coleman is a nightmare waiting to happen. Even if Coleman doesnt concede a pen if Mane keeps getting by him and able to put a cross/ball in I would feel much better having 3 CB's in the box to get it out to safety.

By all means at 70 minutes + if we are level/behind take one of the CB's off for Bernard/Lookman and go back to 4-2-3-1 but for me we have to start with 3 at the back.

I also think we struggle to score from open play against the top sides- Arsenal, Utd and Chelsea we haven't scored a goal from open play and I feel our best chance sunday is to keep it tight, hit on the counter and when we get Freekicks / corners - get all of Mina, Zouma, Keane, Rico and Gomes in the kopites box and try nick a goal or two from set pieces.

If we lose it was expected. If we draw the RS fume will be glorious and if we win Klopps head will explode but as the majority of our starting 11 do not seem to have that loser mentality it will be just another game for them which is how it should always be treated.

Think they are going to bypass the midfield on Sunday. Just got to watch Coleman with Mane I feel, he's their man in form.
It's a big game for Walcott. He needs to be available to help out defensively with Coleman as you can guarantee Robertson will be marauding down that flank too. But he also needs to be alert for the counter opportunities. If I was Silva I'd be telling him to go all out for an hour and then replace him with Lookman.

Similar for Digne at left back who will be asked to cope with Salah and TAA. I'd be saying the same to Bernard, all out for 60 mins, then bring on DCL and move Ricky over to the left.

The way Liverpool play they tend to tire anyway, but I expect that with knobs on following the hard game last night. Defend like we did against Chelsea and then take the game to them in the last 20 and I think we can possibly upset the bookies.
