Agree mate that they are under massive pressure and they can’t afford to lose, and I know Silva is only just laying the foundations, but I still think there is some pressure on us to go out and put in a performance. We put in a poor performance, and they win easily (I don’t think that will happen like) then that will be deflating, and more than just the norm of the usual deflation of not getting anything from a Derby.

Won't disagree with that mate.

The flip side for me though, in the last four seasons a win at the pit would have been boss but ultimately it'd be just one game masking over what we all knew was a mess of a team going nowhere.

A result now, you'd feel it actually mattered more so than a derby for a very long time would have

We lose I'll be down for a bit about it but ultimately look at the bigger picture of the season's progression etc.

We win, it becomes a huge sign of positivity for the forseeable

Can't believe the negativity. Yeah they concede few because visiting teams always lose mentally before the match even started. Look what happend when Serbian champion Crvena Zvezda took it to them and destroyed their confidence in the first half, it could have been 4-0 even in that first half. Maybe we won't have the crazy Belgrade atmosphere with us but we will have much better players, we should not lose this one bar a blatant referee intervention.

And therein lies the problem! Don't you just know this'll be what it comes down to........

5 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat since Arsenal. Not bad that.
It's very good...yet the only surprise result (positive, as it turned out)for me was the draw at Chelsea.
NB: I am not by general inclination, a glass half empty bloke,,,except when it comes to expectations regarding Everton away to the Sky6.

I shall watch with my hands over my eyes wearing this

We lost to Arsenal, United and drew with Chelsea.

Our record against the bigger teams away is not great this season, so i'm not confident. Anything would be a bonus for me, because lets face it, who's going to Anfield this year and winning?
