I've been a fan of the 60k no less debate.
But, logically thinking I would think a stadium of 61878 would be too big for us.
London clubs get away with it because they are in the capital. Spurs / wham /arsenal will have no end of tourists queuing up for spare tickets as London is one of the busiest cities in the world.
Like it or not, the rs are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and have fans flying in to be part of it. We unfortunately are no where near them regards WORLD WIDE fan base.
Mam City are the closest club to assess ourselves on. Even with their recent success and brand of football they still struggle to sell out their 55k stadium. That is very telling.
It takes a generation of great football and multiple titles to add 15k season tickets / extra sales to your fan base. United and Liverpool are the proof here... Man City are ten years into there revolution and still aren't there regards World wide appeal.
We are nowhere near any of the clubs mentioned above.
The last thing I would want is to be going to a 62k stadium with 45k fans in it for 9/10 games. We are asking Dan meiss to give us an intimidating atmosphere, that would be impossible with a 62k stadium.
I think the 55k is more than enough for us,like it is for man City.
