2018/19 Theo Walcott

Walcott doesn't seem to me to be as fast as he was at Arsenal. He's rarely taking the ball past his man. I think his place in the team is vulnerable.

He hasn't done that in about five years, if not more.

It's not his game anymore.

Just like how Lookman's game isn't to sprint in behind like Walcott does.

Occupies defenders with their fear of his pace, which allows more space for others. His finishing isn't the best, but he is a valuable member of the team.
Very true this. Also, along with Richarlason, he can hold onto the ball. so often in the past our forwards haven't done this and it was coming straight back at us.

when he first joined he use to run about loads, his off the ball running is what lead to him scoring twice against leicester

his best performances have been under allardyce

weird how now in a better more attacking team he seems more static although he should have scored on sunday

He doesn't look static at all.

There's only so much sprinting you can do against a packed defence. The evidence of this is in the fact that Walcott's sprints were at their lowest in games against Huddersfield and Palace - two teams that sat deep.

Against Leicester, Arsenal, Wolves and Bournemouth, his sprint stats are up there. Because there was room to run into.

Look at the highlights from the other day (the 20 min ones) and in the second half he becomes a lot more involved, because there's more space.

He could easily have five goals to his name this season in the league and really should. He's missed three sitters now, so his finishing has to be sharper.

A great asset to have though and I don't get the vibe that he's playing badly. Not at his best, no, but not poor, and he's a constant threat with his pace.

He's far better than the crap we saw on the wings last season. He's not done great the last few matches but I think we have to understand he's had Kenny behind him and then a half fit Coleman and the striker has been changed on him. Playing with different players around him each week might be having an affect.

Anyone ready to get Allardyce back so Theo can start scoring again,he’s scored two of of our best goals this season the free kick move against Southampton ,the goal against Bournemouth was simply fantastic also his finish isn’t the cup,he’s not been brilliant but far from disastrous
