minor things that make you fume

There are some really dodgy drivers on the roads these days but, it cheeses me off a bit when you get all these cyclist safety groups coming out saying motorists should be more considerate and aware of cyclists, listening to them you would think cyclists never did anything wrong. The thing that gets on my tits the most is when the lights are on red, and instead of stopping like a car has to they bounce up on the kerb, go round the lights then bounce back onto the road, also seen them at a red light at the front of the traffic, they slowly edge forward, and keep doing it till there is a gap in the traffic who’s lights are on green, and when they get a gap they just pull out.

The way I see it is it’s a two way thing, motorists should be more conscious of cyclists, and cyclists should adhere to the same rules as a motorist.

Not having a pop at all cyclists by the way, there are bad ones like there are bad motorists. Just that these cyclists groups never ever mention the things they get up too, no, it’s always the motorists fault.
Cycling groups never seem to mention this one, so I assume cyclists do it deliberately and for fun: when traffic which has just spent ages getting past a cyclist, has to stop at lights and the cyclist weaves back to the front as if to say
"Have another go .... And when one of you gets frustrated and gets too close to me, you'll be on youtube".

Just reading that a newly discovered food item of mine, The Parmo 1539601304630.webp has been declared an absolute disaster for the body, and there are calls for it to be forbidden to be sold. Nanny State can go and do one!

Last time we played away at Sunderland I had a “ parmo in a bun “ at the ground, very nice ;)
My work colleagues at our Stockton branch were forever extolling the virtues of their local delicacy.
I was on a weekend break a short while back in a not too shabby hotel, and amongst the upmarket choices in their award winning restaurant was The Parmo.
I took the plunge and I can honestly say the phrase "guilty pleasure" was invented for the dish.

Is it related to the Melbourne Parma?
You see plenty of pubs with signs 'TUE: Parma & Pint $15'
I couldn't offer an opinion on that to be honest.
Talking Aussie fast food options takes me immediately back to my sea going days when I first encountered what was called a Chico Roll. For all intents and purposes a glorified chop suey roll like I was used to from the local Chinese chippys.

I can deal with cyclists who are actually travelling somewhere, but the ones who load up the roads at the weekend purely for their own amusement can do one. A ‘peloton’ invariably goes past my house every Sunday around 0700, and apparently, its members shouting to each other as loud as they can is part of the deal. Sorry YOU can’t sleep lads, and that your only solution is dressing like a bell and getting on a bike, but the rest of us are trying to get some kip and/or trying to use the roads for their actual purpose, not as a race track.
