Few decent performances which I’m happy about but some obvious signs that he’s probably not good enough to start with our ambitions

Massively improved , although that wasn’t hard conapred to last season, but he’s actually improved to the point that he’s looking pretty solid and deserves his place tbh

I agree Keane is doing better since the season started, but blaming his poor form on Holgate is just wrong.

Always wondered if he'd look better partnered with a competent defender and it seems like he does. A lot.

He'll still get terrored by the likes of Mane and Firmino once in a while and sent for the Echo by a Hazard or Lukaku occasionally, but I think overall he's a very solid centre back and good enough to be a part of our first XI this season.

I think he showed that last season to be honest. He’s pretty decent if he just has to do the basics, but he’ll always be prone to being made to look a fool by quick feet and interplay. In my opinion he’s looked no different this year, he’s just been exposed less.

Glad to see some improvement from the lad. He looks so much better with a partner with a bit of pace. Not fully there, but he's on the right track. More performances like yesterday and he will keep his place when Mina returns.
