We’re 11th after 7 games. He deserves every bit of criticism he is getting.

He doesn’t, he deserves a lot of credit for already giving us an attacking style we can be proud of after the way we embarrassed ourselves last year. The excellent transfer buisness he’s done in Digne, Richarlson, Zouma and Bernard with more I expect to come and completely changing the mentality of the club so we actually go out to try and win games.

Idiots criticising him after 7 games for exactly what your saying whilst ignoring the good work he’s clearly doing are a massive problem to this club. Fortunately, apart from message boards, the idiots don’t make themselves heard on a daily basis.

If we’re 11th at the end of the season you can ask the question and even then you only evaluate the whole job and see how it’s going.

This year is about implementing a system and producing a team playing in a style to challenge the top 6 next season.

That was never going to happen overnight and we may take some collateral damage along the way but we’ll still finish 7th whilst doing so.

To do this we have to keep up the standard rather than praying it will turn out fine next year. We must aim for 7th no natter what this season.

Can't agree with you at all mate.
Still waiting for Mina and Gomes to play a single minute , Bernard still not fully fit , Seamus missing too.
Things are looking positive , and in my view , we actually deserve to have more points that we do have. Half time team talk seems to have worked wonders today.

It's still early in the season back in the day you didn't even look at the table till ten games in. We will be ok this year its a transition year, top ten and a cup run whilst bedding in new players and an attacking style would do us the world of good. Chopping and changing managers never does any good.

7th 2 seasons ago 8th last season 10th = gone backwards with the huge amount of money spent. The only way up is to get 7th in the league and hoping to build on and break into top 6 next season. I don’t see how an average 10th 11th place side will suddenly turn out good after a summer.

Based on the criteria you and others appear to be applying to our current manager I can only assume you’d have demanded Kendall’s dismissal before he had completed a full season.
At least I waited for a full 24 months before adopting that erroneous position.:)
Managers need seasons not weeks to prove their worth.
Patience is required.

Well not everyone is Kendall and the situation 30 years ago can not be applied to today’s scenario, perhaps.

I think 7th is not a big ask. That’s 7th not 4th. There should be a progession if he can achieve big thing in the end. Results based, as always.

Nobody knew what Kendall was capable of until his team finally ‘clicked’ at what was effectively the 11th hour. By that time the writing was (literally) on the wall for him and had the board bowed to the opinion of the majority of supporters he would have been gone.
The era makes no difference to the circumstances. Once the board has selected their man they should back him for an appreciable length of time to give him time to construct his team. Certainly not after one season or ,indeed, 7games.
