Silva wasn’t in my top 3 for the post but he’s here now and needs our support for 2 seasons before he can be properly judged
If we see no real signs of progress by seasons end then I’ll worry but he will need 2 seasons 4 windows to be fairly judged
Brands is the key
If he gets his recruitment right then I’m sure Silva will take us too 6 and maybe then get a bigger name in if it seems Silva can’t take us any further

I was underwhelmed at his appointment, and said at the time that he has to prove himself.

Seven games in to the League campaign, and my assessment hasn't changed. I'll give him time though, and really hope that my opinion changes to 'whelmed' soon, then impressed within a year.

If Silva can start to do the basic that is to win the usual home games against these average sides, surely he can build something on this.

Given the investment in the squad, top 8 should be the target. And given the lengths they went to get him, some entertaining football.

We’re 11th after 7 games. He deserves every bit of criticism he is getting.
