It would beggar belief that Brands doesn't impact that decision to take him on board with an existing injury. The medical team are helpers, not decision makers.
The question he has to answer for that summer window was why he left it so late with the signings and why did the desperation levels get so high that he would feel the need to take a massive gamble on two struggling players.
