Totally agree, even the red pundits on sky have just said Everton were the best team up until Arsenal scored, which was against the run of play.

When was the last time we could say that about a team going to Arsenal

We were the better team in terms of chances created in the first half when we sit back and counter. Arsenal could not handle that. Second half we started to have more possession in the first 10mins and to be honest it’s completely ineffective, we couldn’t create anything meaningful playing possession football while also being vulnerable to counter attack. First half possession is something like 60% in favour of Arsenal. We did not dominate them, we’re just very good at counter attack.

I don’t understand the need to switch tactic in the second half when we were comfortable at the back and creating enough danger up front with the way we’re playing in the first half.

I don't think we did switch tactics. I think Emery did...

People seem to forget two teams play this game, not one.

Good point

We got beat mate not because Silva got his tactics wrong, it was because we don’t have a guy who can put the ball in th net, we created a hatful of chances today due to Silva’s tactics, it is not his fault they don’t finish it.
Did he not pick lewin,if he takes the plaudits when we win he takes it when we lose,I knew we needed a goal scored when he got the job so I suspect did you so who's fault is that.

We conceded twice. And not keeping clean sheets. First thing first to win a game is to know how to defend.

Yet again I fear we have the wrong man for the job, might as well have just let Unswortn get on with it and not got sam or Marco. I hope he can turn it around but I've not been impressed with anything Marco has done yet.

partly correct, the other part is for silvas tactics to work he requires a high % of possesion to control the game. He was never going to get this at arsenal, he should of known this.

he should of sat back soaked up the pressure and kept richarlison and walcott on the channels to counter. even long balls from defense were getting through to richarlison.

Ah well. It was interesting reading this thread. Hopefully next week is where things take off in terms of results. A MUST WIN. Can't be having another weekend where the most enjoyable thing would be backheeling meself in the bollocks.

Playing possession football away to Arsenal with our fullback so high up the pitch is suicidal. Arsenal will be desperate to score at home, the longer we hold out, the easier to exploit thier desperation with counter attack.

We could have ping the ball up the pitch faster instead of stroking it around without purpose inviting trouble because we are never good at it.

Well Arsenal had nearly double of the ball than we did, both sides had 9 shots, we had 6 on target to their 5, and we had more corners. (Means squat do corners mind)

Blame Peter Czeh.

Let's give him until Christmas next season before we judge mate.

Good god no, we'd be in the Championship if we'd let that chump continue
I suppose sans always free to come back In January to save us again. I never wanted Marco I just hope it does with because we have been messing around with managers for so long and haven't got anywhere.
