You're trying to argue against facts, it's bizarre. This will be a worst start to the league season if we lose today.

We earn Sunderland 3-0, hardly struggled.

We've just picked up 1 point against Huddersfield and West Ham in back-to-back home games. We only had one shot on target against Huddersfield. It doesn't come much more dreadful than that.
Performance wise, totally agree (with the exception of Rico and Digne who have been a class above)
But you have to admit underneath it all, there is more promise and potential - its just hurts going there.
Unless Silva can conjure something out of the midfield it will remain so.
One decent performance may change this but mentioned in another post what City had to build on to win the title and get to where they are now - Toure, Barry, De Jong, Milner. Everton are a millions miles from that atm.

I honestly think that the new players are on board with the manager tactics and the rest are either going through the motions or not "buying in".
Silva has a long tough transition on his plate - the fans have to stick with him but this club needs to develop a culture of professionalism from the top down.

I am sick and tired of club players putting tools down season after season because they are on long well paid contracts who think they can call the shots. The club has to develop a long term professional culture that is sustaining which translates into players (employees of the club) who do as there told and to there best of there ability, day in day out.

None of us put our tools down in work because we don,t agree with our boss or company - we know the score, we turn up and do our job professionally....so should the players.

I'm judging at comparable timeframes, you aren't. We can revisit at November 4th for your timeframe.

I was at the Sunderland game, it was a routine victory.

You are picking one fact and that ignoring all others (that he is a newly appointed manager, that we have had two players banned, that this was a World Cup year) that don’t fit your argument. We have lost once in five games and somehow this is much worse than losing three out of five?

Silva's history and reputation for having very good man management skills and being well liked by his players is well known as is the zero credibility of the Sun. If the Sun say the players aren't happy then you can guarantee that all of the players are indeed very happy.

You’re really using Jagielka being banned as something that has hindered us? He’s finished.

Let’s see how we get on vs. them teams in these games this season.
