Because some people seem to think that after 5 games, we should be playing like Barcelona, despite having a midfield that consists entirely of players that can`t pass a ball forward, strikers who won`t score a lot of goals, a play maker / dead ball expert who is neither and a defence that can`t defend set pieces.

That’s ridiculous and no one suggests that. Those who criticised because they expect more points in these 5 fixtures against some average sides.

Is there an Everton manager you haven't turned against at first sign of trouble, buddy?

Maybe because the season hasn`t finished yet ?

Of course but quite a few said apart from relegation form (which is?), he got a free pass.

Look I am not calling on Silva’s head, no. I just believe doing better than Fat Sam with an improved squad is logical, which 7th is achievable and shall be a fair task.

Perhaps at the moment we ARE an average side suffering injuries and suspensions.....5 sodding games Silva has had....Martinez got THREE seasons...at the very least the former should be given a chance to sort out the mess left by the latter, Koeman and Walsh, aided and abetted by a panicking board who appointed BFS. Going to take more than one season imo.

But there are people, who in a roundabout way suggest that.

I won`t name them, as they know who they are, but they`ve always wanted him to fail from day one.

Fortunately, their parents restrict access to the internet, so they`re only access after defeats.

The one not so major difference difference being, that Silva has had to sort out the unholy mess, that the Koeman and Walsh axis of destruction created.

I`ll say it again, this season is all about transition and stablity, anything else is a bonus.

Think about that for a minute.
...”not so minor”, I think you mean

Playing like Baca 5 games in. I honestly can’t recall anyone said that.

No fans would want any manager to fail because only fans will suffer from the results.

You can see his style though. His game is too open. It means you score more goals but it also means you concede more.

I think the fans that are pining for the return of Sam Allardyce, are in for a long wait. I appreciate he got an awful team to 8th but I’d prefer to wait and see what Marco can do with this season’s awful team.
