I can’t help be worried about the lack of defensive organisation and almost suicidal cavalier attitude.

I will give him the benefit though until he gets his team in the pitch.

There's no point in turning on the guy at this stage! It's only five games in ffs! Yes he's the Poundland Martinez but we all knew that going in. It's not his fault that we're a joke run by people who have the club excally were they want us, nice and secure in mid table, never likely to go down but still making them silly money. How many managers have to be blamed, made into a scapegoat and sacked before you all wake up and see that our problems as a club go way beyond that?!

....when Schneiderlin went off and we went 2-0 down he virtually ditched the defensive shield. Understandable perhaps, but when we got a goal back, perhaps he should’ve filled the void and been patient. There was 45mins to go.

The 1st goal was symptomatic of the Martinez era. Possession in a defensive central area and your left back is your furthest player forward. Lose possession (when the ball is played to Tosun) and the CBs are exposed with gaps in the full back areas.

His tactics left the CB exposed with the fullback are pushed so high up the pitch.

This is essentially going to be Martinez mk II. Not kept a clean sheet all season, cannot defend a set-piece. At least under Martinez we kept possession a bit when we won it back and didn't just play forward for the sake of playing forward (granted at times we passed for the sake of passing!)

Martinez without enough quality players to bail out his mismanagement

we always used to have barry drop into that vacant role as almost a third centre back under martinez, that's when it worked, having gueye and schneiderlin doing the same job neither of them doing that means we struggle when, as like today, we lose the ball from a sloppy pass and the centre backs are wide apart.

Just tired of us going nowhere season after season tbh. That's a shocking return of points from 5 games against average teams. Top 6 seems like a pipe deam now, without knee jerking, but let's go and take the game to arsenal and see what happens.

I think we'll be needing this personally....

Im not saying we should sack him now but I don’t believe he will turn this around and everything will magically click together. Don’t think there are many examples of managers who became very good after poor start.

Im telling nowadays.

Well let’s just see how we do end of season before we compare him to the end of Klopp’s first season which didn’t start great either.

I couldn't care less if a lot of people swerve me for this:

  1. At home we're a far more solid side when Tom Davies plays.
  2. Walcott's unwillingness to drop back is causing us a lot of problems defensively.
  3. The decision to loan out Bolase was a bad one.
  4. When things go sour, our fan base as arguably the worst in the league.
