Not a chance in hell the PL rule book is available online and as far as I can see tapping up is only mentioned in relation to playing staff. Unless I've missed something I'm not quite sure how it's even gotten this far.

The FA Rule K on arbitration applies to all parts of a club, not just the players. It is possible that the Premier League rules are similar. (Otherwise Watford could have taken their case to the FA.)

When Chelsea were found guilty of tapping up Ashley Cole they were fined £300,000 and given a three point deduction, suspended, by the Premier League. There is a precedent.

Watford want their pint of blood, all their ills are blamed on us. AS for tapping up did we not contact them first for permission to speak to Silva? Okay they said no but the cat was now out of the bag and in the public domain. Apparently the FA want all phone records of the parties involved ot see if any contacts were made that could be deemed inappropriate.

I mean overall and for years past. We are second rate. We last won a trophy 23 years ago. We have second rate players by and large and we have people who have run the club into the ground and a new owner who is obvioulsy not a football person and he's making ham-fisted decisions because of it.

How, in a culture like that, do we expect anyone to be uncomplaining?
