Love the title of this thread (it'll be brilliant when he costs us the derby) but you're fighting a losing battle here. Jump on the other side quicker than Toxteth and Goat did when he realised Fellaini wasn't the devil.

I'm not saying playing crap against the big teams is okay. It's not. But right now, I see no reason to change it. As if just because Heitinga's got a runner's up medal from the world cup, he's suddenly going to rekindle the Lescott/Jags success of old.

That's not the only reason, but it is part of it, yes.

Phil Neville and Leon Osman have been awful well before Distin arrived at the club, but we accept it and also accept Moyes is loyal to his teachers pets and will pick them no matter what.
Distin was brought in to fill Lescotts boots, a difficult task which he as failed to do.
We havent replaced Lescott, thats certain.
