Tonight taught us nothing new tbh. Hes not useful as a starter. His strengths are his pace, work rate, closing down and finishing. Hes literally the prototype of an impact sub. Will have lots of useful 5-10 minute cameos this season no doubt

I do agree with the basis of your point , I can accept There is an argument for him to fulfil that role but anything more than that I’m just not having . If we’re going to succeed as a club it’s hard to see him featuring regularly though, even from the bench .

He's effective and scores more goals than DCL. DCL has scored a brace today against Rotherham but how did he do last season in the Premier League?

Out of the two right now on the minute if we brought another striker in I'd send DCL on loan because Oumar, despite all odds and footballing ability considered, got the job done last season in the premier league when it counted and when we needed it and I trust him to do what he does.

And I'm not particularly arsed about the goals being pretty or not. I just want lots.

Bit risky only having 2 strikers with our injury record.

There are serious rumours in Turkish media that Galatasaray is chasing him and he wants to join them for CL and he thinks that he won't be able to play for Everton this year. Besides the fact that Galatasaray most likely going to be a "concede goals for fun" side in CL. On the other hand, those rumours also indicate that Silva is blocking the move.
