Usmanov

Why? He doesnt own any shares in any English football club. Not a clue of he has dibs on any abroad mind.

And are you suddenly giving the BBC some credibility?

It matters not that he's now unaligned. The BBC documentary unearthed more than enough documentary evidence that suggested his tentacles wound their way into Everton. To formalise that arrangement would hand the game's governing bodies a nightmare to ratify.

In any case, it's all fluff. These things - if they happen - aren't heralded by a fanfare of trumpets, they simply get done and then we all find out later. This is all sizzle and no steak.

Depends what he wants. As I've always said his and Moshiri's money is interwined to an extent in USM holdings so if Usmanov was Moshiri's benefactor in acquiring our shares maybe Mosh has a financial agreement with Usmanov for a % of any profit made once the day comes he sells EFC.

in that regard Usmanov would already own influence covertly in EFC so it would make little sense to then buy us when he could buy AC Milan or Aletico Madrid for example and own a CL club. I believe thats what he planned from the start with Arsenal - having influence in 2x clubs and double the chance of CL football and spotlight.

If he see's things from a non business perspective- then he may very well want to own a PL club and make them league champions.

I just think the former is more realistic and he'll help Mosh more in stadium naming rights, bigger sponsorship deals etc.

Hopefully im wrong!
Time will tell, but fingers crossed he will come on board then our dreams of becoming a top PL team could start to become reality.

Well it does. Quite a lot.

Apology accepted.

Now 12 months is a long time in business. The whole sponsorship thing was a test imo to see the reaction and the reaction was minimal if close to zero.

You say why more likely now? It was always said the barrier would be his arsenal shares, they are now sold. Moshiri and usmanov are business partners and have been for a long time. They do everything together, moshiri said this himself. Now there quotes. It all points to it being a lot more likely to happen then it was 12 months ago.

100 percent certain to happen? No just more and more likely now. It will be interesting that's for sure.
Likely to happen because Usmanov is unattached? You may as well say Bill Gates is likely to happen in that case.

The already dubious Usmanov-Moshiri relationship in football - if now formalised at Everton - would just make the game's governing bodies look like chumps given they considered the matter unproblematic before.

With respect mate you are being stupid. Moshiri isn't closely linked with Bill Gates but he is with Usmanov. You just don't like either of them and this is where the hatred comes from.

Nope nothing will happen because if if was it would have already happened when Usmanov would have allegedly already actually been breaking rules they could have charged him with. What actual rules will he be breaking if he comes here now? Name them.

Just to temper a little over-exuberance, (although esteemed fellow GOT member, @davek , provides some not insignificant antidote to such propensity lol): but Baz and Ped haven't announced anything 'formal' yet...and generally they are well ahead of the 'news flash!' curve. Baz and Ped appear very well connected.

lol

Obviously

In realistic terms Everton were cheap to buy into for Moshiri but had a huge potential taking into account the fan base and history. With the idea of a new stadium in an iconic location the potential return for investing in the club is quite large added to which the surrounding area fro redevelopment promises huge returns.
So is it any surprise that Usmanov may become involved.

Dave, forgive me but you can't have it both ways.

You claim their relationship in football is dubious... The BBC found evidence... And yet the governing bodies saw it unproblematic...

Which is it ?
