Usmanov

Pure speculation but I think we're approaching the culmination of a plan that's been in place since February 2016. Even Colin Chong that was announced as the person who would manage the stadium project was hired by the club back then as "Head of Estates" - can only assume that means he would've been involved in all the Liver building stuff (along with probably the sponsorship deal on USM FF).

I know there's a decent chance that this actually might be smoke without fire... I'm going to choose to have hope though. Always thought the deal that Moshiri had in place that would allow him to expand how much of the club he owns was there to lock the the price at which Kenwright and Woods shares were valued at.

Cheech's mate ?

It was flight of fancy pretty much from very early on in Moshiri's tenure. Literally, a pretend "what if ?" scenario.

But month after month, random, seemingly irrelevant comments, and events, just kept the narrative seemingly on track. This is just one line in a Bloomberg interview. But follows his "Impossible" selling of his Arsenal shares, and following that Colin Chung (?) bloke being unveiled as the head of the stadium build. 2 years after we got him in to do just that. Just didnt tell anyone, til now.....

Like I always say, could all be a crock of crap. But them damn dots keep popping up.

Mentioned when his sale was announced that these 'leaks' to established sources only occur when there is something concrete in the offing.
For the lids he's basically popcorning Kroenke. At tbe pace this is going, and I mentioned last week, imho the deal is done, just paperwork to finalise with EFC & LCC and I reckon we'll know for sure in 2-3 weeks.
Ideally, I'd do it the night before the derby :)

People are kidding themselves if they think FFP or any other financial 'restriction' would get in the way of somebody like Usmanov and his ambitions. The FA and UEFA cannot control the convenient business sponsorships which Usmanov could agree in a totally legitimate manner for ABC electrical to sponsor the urinals at Goodison, for example.

It is true that nobody can 'do a City' anymore, but that isn't even needed for a club to have success. Rules are there to be bent.

Another first for Everton.

The first English ground to have a helicopter landing pad built on its roof.

Ha ha! With the first stop on the new monorail on the way back into town, being at the mega luxury yacht dock just on the river outside the Liver Buildings!

As @roydo ,myself and a few others have said this was always the plan from day one
Too many people stand to make too much money from this for it not to go ahead
When the yanks rolled up in 2016 and started talking to Bill Moshiri and Usmanov panicked and Usmanov bought Moshiri out and sent him running to Liverpool to start the ball rolling
Everything that has happened since has just been bits of the plan falling into place.
I think the original plan was to get a decent manager and squad in place before Usmanov bought in as once he’s on board transfer fees quoted to us will rise as has happened to City and PSG
Didn’t work out as planned but with Brands in place maybe it’ll happen now.
Chong being in place for 2 yrs and the Liver building partners etc just all adds up
