Usmanov

The stadium was always getting built mate, Usmanov wont pay for it if he comes onboard, that would be the move of a very stupid man and hes anything but stupid.

I still have my niggling doubts. If this chap comes on board any niggling doubts would disappear.

And one would have to think it would be delivered to a proper spec, not value engineered at all.

It's like a movie, where they reveal the plot of the whole film right at the end.

Has this been the plan all along? Things don't go so well at Arsenal, then there is a set up club ready, waiting, with huge potential.

Maybe... just MAYBE, "It's Everton", may just be ready to take on a whole new meaning!

I thought about this a while back, it's like The Prestige, they set it up so the answer was right in front of your face from the start. The only difference is that this ending was bloody obvious and it only managed to fool The Esk and David Conn.

You have to observe that the council loan is a very elegant solution to stadium building.
The council will lend money to Everton to build a stadium in an area in need of improvement, knowing the club is backed by someone whose personal wealth could build it many times over, that is a cast iron guarantor.
Meanwhile the council receives large sums of money to spend on improving the infrastructure and desirability of the city including the area around the proposed stadium. This in turn raises the value of the stadium potentially realising a return for any investment.
Everyone's a winner, seemingly.
They just have to convince the punters.

Depends what you mean. It's impossible to go and lump £500m of an individual's own money on players in one transfer window, yes.

There isn’t actually, they can just come in and didn’t £500 million in transfer fees if they want as far as I am aware.

It’s wages they have to be slightly more controlled with.

UEFA FFP limits losses clubs are allowed to make (I.e. the amount an owner can spend directly) excluding infrastructure. PL limits the increase of the wage budget to a certain amount plus any profits the club makes excluding TV income
