Watching Liverpool vs west ham. The high line deploy by west ham is suicidal.
We play with a similar setup yesterday and a lot of work needs to be done to make this system work. The back 4 will needs to be very tactically discipline and excellent awareness for the system to be successful.
The interest comes from competition - La Liga is about as one-sided as the Scottish League! One of the good things about the English league was the fact that most teams could get a result on a given day. Now it seems predetermined due to the financing. The most exiting teams to watch doesnt even play in England, so what are you on about? Pretend that english 90sfootball was more entertianing than watching todays Real Madrid all you want to, but know you are undeniably wrong in your assesment, and only a blind man(or overly nationalistic Brit) would agree with you.
West Ham were truly tripe - it wasn’t even competitive! They thought they were getting an upgrade on Moyes, but I think he knows the league better. Sure, Pellers won the league, but his performances got gradually worse at Man City and he had inherited Mancini’s team. Also he is coming over after failing in China, which puts the water in backwater! The difference with us and West Ham is there defence are up high but there midfield and forwards are right on there toes just standing still.
Our defence was up high yesterday but our front 4 really pressed high up the pitch as well.
If that was your point I must have misread your post. Comparing LaLiga with the SPL is a little lacking, as the top 10 in spain are all good teams even if the top 3 are extremly dominant, in Scotland there is only one okey one.The interest comes from competition - La Liga is about as one-sided as the Scottish League! Nah - there are two, the Old Firm. Rangers are in transition due to the bankruptcy, but it is similar to when Juventus got relegated. Eventually they will be back challenging for honours. But La Liga football is quite boring to watch. The Premier has always been more fun, even if the skill level is lowerIf that was your point I must have misread your post. Dude, you cannot think its fair to compare Rangers and Celtic to Real Madrid and Barcelona when talking about the quality of football those teams play. My point stands, one is a terribly weak league, the other is among the top 3 best, most competative legues in the world. If you think quick passing and tons of creative football is a drag to watch, attend all the scottish games youd like, but dont pretend those leagues/teams are comparable in any way.Nah - there are two, the Old Firm. It is not about those teams, but the opposition. They barely have to break sweat most weeks.Dude, you cannot think its fair to compare Rangers and Celtic to Real Madrid and Barcelona when talking about the quality of football those teams play. Two are world class, one is in the dirt trying to work its way back up a terrible league, and the last on barely beat Rosenborg to qualify for the CL. I live in Norway, I know just how crap norwegian football is. For them to just about get past any Norwegian team shows how absolute garbage Celtic is in world football. If Everton played in a league against just Scottish teams, we’d win the league every year with a 100% win ratio. If Real or Barca played in a league with just Everton, they probably have a similar record.
Not comparable at all.
Just as a wee by the by: vitamin, the word, is a contraction of vital micronutrient. The first thing Marco did was run over to the 4th ref and scream at him when the card was shown. And that comment about Jags is just so beyond anything.. Never playing him again would be a disgrace, he’s been our captain for years and a stalward player for us, one red card doesnt change that. He will get more games, but will probably be backup for our new CB, which is the right way to go.
You seriously need more vitamins in your diet, friend, cause thats a real dramaqueens post.
More people follow Sunderland on twitter than the Old Firm clubs. The size of their support nowadays is massively overstated. Ajax have nearly twice the number of followers than Celtic despite their league being comparable to the SPL, whilst PSV are comparable to Rangers, as are Villarreal. It is not about those teams, but the opposition. Also, if the Old Firm played in England they would soon challenge due to the size of their supports and they he access they would get to top players who would not go to the Scottish league.
We finished 8th under gravy chops, and now 9th under this fella. It just goes from bad to worse.
I do not think Twitter is a good barometer of a club’s support. Also, less people are interested when it is a one-horse raceMore people follow Sunderland on twitter than the Old Firm clubs. Exactly..I noticed Silvas reaction to the first goal...no great celebration but a determined 'get in' response..he wants to win..hes ambitious..he will improve and entertain us...our spending is not finished and there will be more signings during the next 12 monthsI'm happy if I think Everton are trying to play the right way and all are giving their effort. Win lose or draw.
