I’m excited by what I have seen of Silva up to now. I have always given every manager we have had my full support, until it became clear that, for whatever reason, he was no longer getting the best from the players.

In all my many many years as a blue, I have only pre judged one manager and hated him from the day he was announced, step forward Mr. Allardyce.

Good post mate. Think that sentiment was shared by many - and was ultimately vindicated.

He's going to try and implement his style - different to what we've had before - with a squad of remanents from our last four managers, who had their own different styles from each other.

If we start well. Brilliant. If we win today, great. But it'll take time. We won't see the start of this until Brighton/Huddersfield in a few weeks time.

As for the Allardyce Apologists who can't wait? This game ain't for them.

I never wanted him as his record reeks of mediocrity at best.

however, I have said all along, that with Brands working with him in tandem, it might just make things that little bit easier on Silva.

it remains to be seen whether this will actually work, but there has been undoubted promising signs from what we have just done in the first transfer window together.

The amount of abuse you've tweeted or replied to me with about Marco means you can't celebrate one goal this season.

He's been backed, would think we need to see something along the lines of a plan by Chrimbo. Don't really think the first couple matches should decide his future. Genuinely excited honestly.

and lets not beat around the bush here, Silva's premier league record to date is nothing short of abysmal.

I just hope that at the helm of a big club such as ours, he will improve open his record ten fold

Quite right. A lot of deficiencies have been addressed so it's now down to the management.
