I’ve had an update on Everton from our man on Merseyside, Andy Hunter. He says reports in Spain saying the club are on the verge of signing Barcelona’s Yerry Mina are untrue – but that this isn’t to say they are not trying to do a deal.

I also think Barca will lower their demands as it's in their interest to get this sorted before OUR window shuts.

But if the player doesn't want to come to us, it's in his best interests to wait until the end of our window because then Barcelona will have to lower their demands to the clubs that the player wants to join.

Bouncing from one dramatic extreme to another based on twitter updates every 30 seconds is not having an opinion, it’s just being a child.
