Of course he wasnt. Ferguson was a constant success over many football generations (only Wenger came close I think although he won far less titles), he was a natural born winner, the real special one.

Interesting comments from Gylfi yesterday about the team now having a ‘hands on’ manager. Wonder if that was a reference to Big Sam’s apparent preference for his villa in Spain over Finch Farm.....
Fair point but I’m talking 4 players not 10 plus and clearly Brands knew about this move months before he actually arrived.
Which is why you’d cut him some slack on the overall situation but if you’d watched us last season it was clear there was an issue at the back. Is he not allowed to do any preparation before hand?Yeh but he was still at PSV and hadn’t assessed our full squad yet, had he?

Agree to an extent but there are certain fundamentals that can be judged without doing that in the same way you make judgements regarding signing players. Also how long does that actually take, for instance it didn’t take him long to make a judgement on Mori. But until you see them in training under a new manager you're not sure if it's just the player or it's the tactics or if it's confidence etc. He'll only have seen us in highlights and playback videos won't he and only over the last 2 months. He didn't decide to leave PSV till the very end.

I agree with most of this but I personally think his decision to leave was made much earlier than the end of the season. But until you see them in training under a new manager you're not sure if it's just the player or it's the tactics or if it's confidence etc. He'll only have seen us in highlights and playback videos won't he and only over the last 2 months. The fact that we’ve been linked to Mina for weeks undermines your argument."Boss I'm not happy here, I want more minutes, I want to leave"

As was I. Along with the subs bench as they're heavily used all three finals.I’m talking about the starting line ups in the three finals.
I actually agree, he’s a good ball player but an awful defender.Stones was/is a terrible CB; however, he was much better than we had and have now...which underlines just how terrible we've been for years at CB.
He's not a CB. Never will be. He hasn't got the concentration levels that all top CBs have. They visualise danger before it happens and are always switched on.I actually agree, he’s a good ball player but an awful defender.

Stones is a player who can link defence and midfield/attack up. He's a Carrick type of player. Been saying it for three years now.
