The Toulouse guy seems similar to mina. If the profile is we want a giant then hopefully Gibson and rojo is media BS.

Jullien at Toulouse is the most similar in terms of physique. Whether he's any good or not is another matter.....

I suppose it all hinges on united, if they dont get Aldewiereld they go for Mina and we get Rojo.
If they do get Aldewiereld, Mina goes to Lyon and we get Rojo.

It's irrelevant really. Mina is definitely leaving. Just not to us by the looks of it

No, but Kirkbride has been the only journo to follow them in pre-season - bar France - because everyone else has been at the World Cup or with the Reds, giving him that contact with Silva and the press officer.

He's not Joyce but he's in the game.

Of the alternatives;

Gibson - going for £15m, solid from what I’ve seen of him and loves a meaty slide tackle. Fairly sure he’s not a slouch like Keane but he’s no Jagielka either. Given that we need 2 centre backs I’d probably take him. Left footer too, which is required.

Rojo - actually quite like the nutcase, loves to obliterate opposition players and pre-injury at least had pace in spades. Lefty as well, however would cost about £30m and we don’t know what he’s like post acl injury.

Lascelles - unlikely if we’re not willing to spend £30m+ on Mina, as he’d cost at least £40m. My preference for the CB role though, think we should pay it.

Summary; Lascelles and either Rojo or Gibson would be fine by me.
