doesn't sound great....

Barcelona] coach Ernesto Valverde decided he could not count on Mina and more often than not he didn’t even make the substitutes bench, with Thomas Vermaelen the preferred reserve to Pique and Samuel Umtiti.
And when Mina did play, Barcelona tended to suffer. Their defence was tight on their title charge, conceding just 29 goals in 38 league games.

Almost a quarter of those goals were spread out over just three games in which Mina was on the pitch - and he only made five league appearances in total.

The worst of those matches was the debacle at Levante, in Barcelona’s penultimate match of a thus-far unbeaten league season.

Paired with Vermaelen in defence, ‘Tom and Yerry’ came up with comically bad defending as Barcelona suffered a 5-4 defeat, ruining their chances of surviving the season without a single defeat.

Mina started his Barcelona career reasonably well, impressing personally during a disappointing 0-0 draw with Getafe, but the Madrid minnows were not able to cause much trouble.

As soon as he came up against craftier opponents, his flaws were exposed.”
Playing for Barcelona is hugely different to playing for Everton.

Its chalk and cheese mate

A 10M flop who was bought 6 months ago now worth 40M and half the forum want him coz he’s played a handful of games for Barca.

Need to stop this snobbery.

Big fan of people having an opinion of how his guy plays.

When I’m almost certain at least 97% of you hadn’t even heard of him until the World Cup. Like me.

..the World Cup illustrated he’s a competitor and also that he has goals in him, but Sanchez was a great support act. Beyond that, i’ve only seen clips. He’s very leggy, a bit like Bambi so he’s not the best of movers. He’s the type who’ll have you nervous but he’s also the type the fans could take to.

He doesn’t look the Rolls Royce type I prefer but he might be very effective with the right partner.

Mate we all know never to judge a player from a summer tournament and clips. Good or bad.

If he joins all we can do is support him. I just worry people will have pre judgements before ever really seeing him play.

..absolutely, but that’s all we’ve got. It does give an indication of their movement, pace etc. I would hope Brands has a very good insight.
