What if we keep losing games though?

At some point he's going to have to put the plan on hold to stop the bleeding

Yeah, he deserves time, but not an infinite amount. He's going to need to prioritise results over the vision a little bit in season one

I'd rather take a couple of steps back to move forward if we need to. We've played unsustainable percentage football for too long and it needs overhauled. We need to cull and reconstruct the squad. If that means we have to be patient then so be it. If we have to take time to put together something that could last then we shouldnt be afraid or reluctant. We should do it. We shouldn't be pandering to gutless no marks who haven't the ability or heart to play on the front foot.

I've had enough of pandering to this squad. Their strengths are not things that should be appreciated and valued at Everton Football Club. Stop pandering to them and get new players and a sustainable style of play.

Moving up the field when we have the ball in their final third does not constitue a high line. When we've got the ball around midfield they are usual pretty far back.

Still fighting the good fight, I salute you & good luck!

We need to stay in the Premier League above all else

If that means we have to put the "vision" on hold for a month or two to get the necessary points on the board then so be it

This is a football club, not a science project

This is the mindset that landed us Sam Allardyce, when we didn't actually need Sam Allardyce.

The season hasn't started yet; let's wait and see. If it gets to November/December and we're relegation threatened and he refuses to change, then there's an issue, but right now there isn't.

I'm just arguing the point in principle

I'm not saying it'll happen

But you could say that about every club waiting for the season to start , they all need to win to stay up/win stuff . I just think to start attaching pressure to a manager based on preseason seems reactionary even for modern football .

We're in no relegation trouble. We're just likely to have a dull mid table run.

Lose your fear Mikey. It's this sort of negativity and lack of bravery and ambition that has held the club back for years. I'd rather have a man insist on playing on the front foot and get rid of all those holding him back along the way, than pander to a squad who can only look good parking a bus and who have seen off 4 managers in 3 years.

He deffo hates the defence doesn't he. There's just no way he's come in and seen our back 4 bar Coleman and thought this is sound. I expect he's on the blower yo marcel saying help me out these are shabite

Fair enough mate

So would you accept a relegation in order for Silva to impose his culture?

There'll be a few of the Allardyce supporters who'll be at if mate, but the majority can see that Silva has inherited a mess of a team and is gonna need time to sort it out.

In alardyces dfence. He prob says he had the same mess and his signings were decent

I'm not saying it will

But, in the off chance it does, I'd like to see where we stood on the best COA

That's all this is, a discussion about a hypothetical situation
