Probably say results mean nothing,its pre season,we only played 45 hours ago etc,4 games in a week ,players getting there fitness and so on,but inside he might be wondering what hes let himself in for

He's not shown any passion yet about what's going on. It's concerning as there seems to be an air of acceptance that we're just awful and there's not much that can be done about it.

There's no "new manager" feel at all - it's the exact same as last season.

I'd never aim for survival. I'd never make signings to survive. I'd never implement a system where best case scenario is 40 points. I will support managers who play sustainable football and try to win every week.

With the squad at his disposal 433 won't work imo. Tosun just can't lead the line, he needs someone alongside him. The midfield is too frail, i don't think we have the luxury of 2 midfielders being good enough to allow someone like Gylfi to just drift in and out of the game without a care in the world.

If he is going to persist with the crap at the back it needs to be a deep line, 442 with 2 wingers with pace which we have and someone who can stick close to Tosun to do his running and stretch defenders.

Unless he gets the players in he needs he needs to bin off the system we currently have because the players arent capable or good enough to play it.

Unfortunately your third paragraph makes too much sense.
