Burnley will not repeat last season so that hypothetically bumps us up to 7th. Who below us last season do you honestly see with a better squad/manager than us? If you say West Ham I won't reply further.

Is this some kind of joke? How old do you think our starting XI will be?
Jagielka and Baines, for example, are already in decline and will decline further this year. In the "no new signings" scenario you describe who will play left back? Cuco? Went well last time. If Keane or Holgate gets injured who will play at centre half? Williams, Pennington?

I have no idea who of our competitors will kick on next year, I didn't predict Burnley's run last year or Leicester's title winning escapades. It is interesting that despite being so sure that Burnley will not maintain their form and that no other club could possibly "do a Burnley" that you consider that our squad that limped to 8th in the weakest league showing outside of the top 2 clubs in living memory would do better than previously despite being a year older and still likely saddled with numpties like Mirallas poisoning the well.

Mystic Nymzee we should call you because your arguments are devoid of evidence or logic.

Speculation about Davy Klaassen's possible move to Besiktas has been ended - by a player who joined Everton from the Turkish club.

Cenk Tosun made the £27million switch in January and has already made a positive impression at Goodison.

But asked by Turkish newspaper Sabah whether his team-mate, Klaassen, could move the other way Tosun admitted he had spoken to his colleague about the speculation.

His response was definitive.

"Klaassen is a very good football player and I asked him if he would come to Besiktas," he said.

"But he replied 'I do not think Turkey.' The subject was closed from the start."

Like a new signing really.

I mean why is everybody moaning Lookman, Klaassen, Sandro, Mirallas, Besic, Dowell, Joe Williams, McCarthy, Vlasic, theres 9 new players we have added this Summer.

Because someone has an opinion that another team may finish above us means they hate Everton? It’s a forum whereby fans exchange opinion, if it’s negative about our team, it doesn’t mean they hate them!!! How childish and simplistic is that? Would I be in team bedwet if I said Burnley would finish above us last season? It’s not necessary to throw accusations and belittle fans if they have a different opinion to yours or are slightly negative.
I must be in the team bedwet team then. I don’t think we’ll be automatically ‘best of the rest’. I think Wolves might be midtable or better, West Ham under a good Manager that LOOKS like he’s done ok in the transfer window will be in an around us, Crystal Palace too, if they can keep hold of Zaha, Burnley, Leics, maybe even Fulham. Competition is fierce just to finish 7th, we could very easily find ourselves in the bottom half. YOU might think I hate Everton, you might think I’m a bedwetter. I just think I’m a realist. Until I see us make some decent moves in the market I will remain the team ‘bedwet’.
Mate they love to gang up on people and belittle them like you say just for giving an opinion, they're like the gang on the street corner who see's someone on thier own and all jump on him coz they're a gang of [Poor language removed] houses, most of them are probably wools anyway.

They said: GIVE US A FEW QUID A MONTH AND WE'LL SHOUT OUR OPINIONS AT YOU.

Take that for what its worth.
I think both Baz and Ped get invited to play the in annual celebrities vs staff togger match on Goodison. I'm wondering whether they get a bit of 'the inside oil' from having such deep embedded connections. I recall @Moomin having a similarly 'deep embedded contact' at Stoke which kept us abreast of that club's transfer activity a couple of seasons ago.

They also get to see the kits before others and get invited to other club events.

Nevermind getting guests on with close, close ties to the club either.

Saying nothing but, yenno.

Klaasen seems to have the right attitude imo, want to stay and fight. Prove he is good enough.

Remember when Steve McManaman went to Real Madrid, he barely played and the club put him up for sale, but by showing the right attitude and waiting for his chance he eventually reached their starting line up and scored the opening goal in the CL final? Well this is nothing like that cos Klaassen is useless.
