Maybe it achieved something by shedding a little more light on a difficult subject. None of us has anything to fear from the truth, do we?
Its abit annoying though when its used to tar by the same brush those that aren't racist - because it is - by the constant bringing of the subject up!
And that anyone who's white is made to feel as though there's something wrong with the fact that the local area's 92.9% white british demographic is "a problem" when it's not. So what if it is 93% white British?
There's economic reasons that is what it is. Not because Liverpool's some racist area, or that the club's racist.
As we said MOST PEOPLE GO TO THE MATCH FOR THE FOOTY.
Hence why I thought it an odd thread.
When I go to Iran I expect to get the occasional stares. But I don't go starting threads about it on here.
Infact I get the odd stare in liverpool!! ffs.
I agree, Matt. But the incident I spoke about happened well, well after this thread was begun, so I guess my point would be that no harm is done by reminding ourselves what ugliness can be found not only on the streets, but also in the ground. Maybe, one day, there won't be any kind of need for such a thread.
I don't think anyone has, have they?
I don't think it is necessary.
There are other mediums and other organisations that tackle this subject. (Kick It Out etc).
Why do we have to be subjected to this yet again on here? All because one person felt he was being "stared at".
Or that somehow the people of Liverpool or elsewhere have to feel guilty because its a 93% white british demographic whereas London's - got one that could only be guessed at.
Affirmative action is racism.
Next there'll be calls for cheaper seats for certain ethnicities or something !
Despite all parts of society having poorer people in it!!!
I don't think it is necessary.

I mean everybody in general by saying 'you'.
