Hmmm, Yet since leaving Everton for Chelsea who are a superior team, when he does get a game he can’t even last a full 90 on the very few occasions they have used him. Even with Bakayoko being as bad as he was last season.

That’s because he’s only played for average teams and he’s been the best player.

I think this debate over who is better, is all down to a few who really wanted Barkley to show how great he was to prove themselves right currently looking a bit daft.

I’m not 100% writing him off, you never know he may kick on next season, but it will be for Chelsea, so who actually gives a toss anyway apart from those mentioned in my first paragraph?

I think this debate over who is better, is all down to a few who really wanted Barkley to show how great he was to prove themselves right currently looking a bit daft.

Absolute nonsense - I want Barkley to fail, like I want every player who leaves us to be worse off - because I support Everton, not the player.

I'm a Barkley fan, think he has bags of talent and depending on his luck with injuries etc. I still think he'll be a top player.

However, I want him to fail and would be delighted if he never set foot on a pitch again. Because he doesn't play for Everton, and I'm an Evertonian. I don't buy the "wish him well" logic at all, simply because there's no benefit to Everton in him doing better elsewhere. See Rooney as an example - left, did very well - and the benefit to Everton was... to be seen as that little club he played for before he started his career properly at United. Woo.

Nope, Barkley made his decision. I hope he falls flat on his arse career wise. He won't, but I hope he does.

Bit of a cop out tho isn't it? People saying he's better than gerrard, scholes and lampard at the same age ... he's gonna come good.... he will leave and all the haters are gonna want him back etc . Now it's surprise surprise not his fault again, but he isn't going to be any of those things and people are now saying it's because of a hamstring tear. People on here over rated him because he's scouse and an evertonian that's the reality

You are saying Barkley two seasons ago was a better player. Despite the great season Gylfi had with Swansea and since that season, even with Gylfi having an in and out season due to
1. His protracted move and missing pre season
2. Missing a run of games at the end due to injury,

Still managed to match anything Barkley did in his last playing season with us and also in less games.

Pretty pointless debate for me so I’m backing out now.

As I pointed out earlier, one is a top drawer international player, very respected, very professional and does it both at domestic and international level.

You can guess which one I am referring to and it’s not the lad from Merseyside.

He's been gone six months.

I hope he fails; I still don't think he will, but that injury has put the brakes on things for him. A big season next time out and I hope he doesn't start a game.

I'd rather be wrong than right on this, simple as that.

Current though siggy is probably better than Ross, ross is finished imo after that injury and career move
