To be fair to Rooney he meant well when he came back. I just think his ego is a bit too big in the end, and he obviously isn’t the player he used to be. I don’t think he would have ever left Manchester if he was still playing at a high level.

By all accounts he wasn`t " discouraged " to leave Man U, which in itself speaks volumes.

The writing was on the wall for him at Man U and he knew this.

Can any of the regular American posters say what say what standard DC are ?

It`s just that an American correspondent on Talksport, described them as being" higher end " Conference standard :hayee:

Good for you.

There is a difference between football anger and real anger, or there should be. Rivalry is a massive part of the game for me. Its like when the RS call us bitter, damned right I am bitter about them! I am supposed to be as they are our rivals.

Rooney jibbed us off. Everyone knows why, everyone probably understands it on a personal level, but on a footballing level I will always hate him for it as that's what I feel like I am supposed to do as a fan.

It's pantomime hatred and its an essential part of the game for me. I hold nothing against him personally.
Good post, explains my feelings exactly.

Yeah, it ain't good. There is some talent in MLS, but top to bottom I'd put it around League One level, perhaps some teams could compete in the Championship. Optimistically

People who are happy he came back to the club are probably fans who backed Kenwright for years and partly the reason we’re seen as a small time outfit nowadays.

He gave his best years to another club and came back here when he was finished and still had the cheek to ask for the highest wage in our history.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Hope he’s never at the club in any capacity again.
People seem to forget this little fact. Also, remember this?

Oh what a true blue and Everton legend.

Say what you want people, no true Evertonsupporter would have done that, and you all know it.

Arteta was just as bad when he came back with Arsenal, if not worse, the dirty snide.

That 3 - 0 against the Arse at Goodison was as good as anything under Martinez.

Baines piping the rat down and his own goal just put the tin hat on it.

Really thought that was the start of something after that game.
