Hahahaha take that you fat piece of junk get out of this great club you waste of space you’ve brought NOTHING BUT MISERY since you came back and is it ANY coincidence that this was the worst season ever???????

I think not. Don’t let the door hit you on your way out you granny shagging bag of PISS!!!! DO YOU HEAR ME?!?!??!? The complete and utter STATE of you!!!!!

Get out!!!!!
I've missed this.

I blame Bill me, even Brands saying today that we want to bring club legends back stinks of Bill on in his ear, "oh Marcel, the boys a true Blue and a legend here, I cried the day we were forced to sell him!" I've no issue with Rooney, I'd prefer he stayed tbh provided he was happy to have a reduced role but only bring him back as a coach if he is good as a coach not cuz he supports Everton and as for him being a legend we all know that's rubbish. He's a United legend not an EFC one. If he stayed another few years and helped us push on and win silverware, possibly he could be a slight legend.

It doesn't "stink of Bill" when Brands has done this type of thing whenever he has been a DOF. He even said that himself in the press conference.

Wasn't impressed with him being made out to be an Everton legend like, he isn't.

For the first 6 months of the season, I couldn't fault his workrate and passion which we lack from most of our squad. He very clearly loves Everton.

Once Unsworth and Fat Sam took charge, he went off the boil and he seemed as fed up as we did about the whole season.

He gets a kicking but you can't blame him for the money he gets or the career he made for himself.

To say he is a money grabbing so and so or more Manc then Blue is stupid, he loves Everton as much as you.

Rooney is a Everton Great not the legend we all hoped he would be for us which is why he'll never be a legend.

I was never angry when he went because it was best for him and at the time the club.

Best of luck in MLS and I hope he can come back in some role to inspire or train future Evertonians.

Mate if he really loved us he would of played for free n not taking home more a week than most earn in 5 years !!!!!!

Be able to drive over there; when he comes back to the U.K. he’ll be able to drive his mate Gibbo to the pub for a few pints too.

Good move all round for him - not so sure about other road users and pedestrians though.

Honestly, why the hate?

He came in last season and did well, overall.

He put in some good performances, scored some important goals and gave us some brilliant moments.

Grown men holding 15-year grudges, strange.

It's true he had a handful of influential games for us. Was great to see him score the winner on his first game back, and obviously the hat trick against West Ham was superb. Apart from that I can't think of too many above average games he had, and the second half of the season he was abysmal, along with the number of penalties he missed.

I don't class him scoring a last-minute penalty at Anfield as being influential or having a good game, either, but fair enough for him stepping up. You expect penalties to be scored.

I didn't agree with the move at any stage, but I sure as hell agree with him being moved on now. For the wages, he has been a massive failure. Imagine smashing your wage cap for a washed-up Wayne Rooney.

Can't leave quick enough for me.

Kinda agree, though I can see where the hate comes from when he pockets as much money from us as he does. I'm all a bit meh when it comes to Rooney now. He came back, he played for us, scored a few goals, his kids got to see him play for Everton, now he can 'koff.

But thanks for the memories, Wayne.
