Champions League Final

Wont watch. Arsed. What will be
TBH, this one hasn't wound me up in anything like the same way as 2005 did.

The CL is prestigious, but it's stock has fallen imo. If I had the choice I'd take the PL title every time now.

I'll be well pissed off if they scab it of course. It;s a big day in the footy calendar. But they are simply miles off being capable of winning an English title. And that is the acid test.

People really have no hope in Madrid? Expecting Cristiano to do the business, Let's be honest you stop Salah you stop Liverpool. Mane and Firmino aren't good enough to trouble Madrid imo.

True mate.

In the tunnel, just before kick off is where the RS realise just what they’re about to face.
The names on the backs of the RM players will turn the RS players legs to jelly.
Klopp knows his players will bottle it, the players know they will bottle it, only the daft fans think they’ll win, they won’t.

Cafu
Stam
Nesta
Maldini
Gattusso
Pirlo
Seedorf
Kaka
Shevchenko
Crespo

vs the likes of Smicer, Djimi Traore and Milan Baros

Never write these spawny rats off

What a surprise. Salah starts on the right. Wouldn’t be that same old, same old where Salah dummies right, cuts inside on his favoured left foot and curls it round the keeper to score at the far post, before moving to a more central position?

Klopp’s getting as predictable as sam.

tbh its the runs that mane and firminho make that creates the space to allow salah to score so many goals

you kinda need to stop all 3 to have a chance

obv salah is their biggest threat but the other 2 shouldn't be taken as lightly either

the madrid defence needs to be 100% focused

If Madrid keep them out for 30 minutes, they'll win the game.

If (as I expect) Liverpool score inside 30 minutes, I think they'll get another before half time and go on to win comfortably. Klopp effectively operates a footballing version of Blitzkrieg in Europe and, unfortunately, it's very effective. And Madrid are tailor made for them as they won't have the hunger Liverpool do for the win and they'll think they can sit off and kill the early Liverpool impetus and impose their quality, when the reality is they almost certainly won't be able to do that.

3-1 Liverpool. I give them a 90% chance of winning at this point and, if they do, they'll have deserved it. None of what I'm saying is facetious either or 'covering bases' - I mean every word; they're the prohibitive favourites going into this game.

Real Madrid are the ultimate experts when it comes to winning this competition. There is no better team that you would want opposing the rs in a champions league final.Honestly Madrid and Ronaldo should just have too much class for that lot.

If they win hats off to them, well done. But if they lose I'll take bits of pleasure seeing them flags come down all over the city and watching grown men cry on TV for about half an hour. Work will be glorious all next week..but I won't rub it in. They'll just want to smash my wry smile in for the next few weeks.

Whatever the result, I need to start feeling more inspired about the club I love and get hyped up for the new season. First game of the season can't come soon enough.

My daughters birthday so the 25th is in my head. May 29th cannot, should not and will not be forgotten.
Unfortunately, it’s only Everton fans who have to remind you, and the blinkered rest of the rs fanbase of that tragic event. Sadly your club leads the way in brushing it under a very soiled carpet.

Apart from the ‘Beatles’, or whatever matey term the Echo assigns them, the rest - including Van Dijk- are distinctly average and that’s where Real’s attention should be focussed. Cut off their supply, and The fab three will be found wanting.

And that Karius is as suspect as the clown he replaced.

Can’t see what all the fuss is about, personally.

Either way, I shaln’t be watching.
