I'll tell you just why he is top of my list, I think he is going to be a top, top player. When hes fit and firing I think he will surpass all our strikers and make himself our new number 9. Thats just why.

That is a poor argument. To claim he is the best striker on the books because of potential alone is foolish. When he puts in an injury free season and scores 15 plus goals he will have deserved to be in the same bracket as Yakubu and Johnson. Infact Anichebe with his development looks a better player than Vaughan was before injury.

I hope Moyesiah will learn from Sir red nose with the way Rooney and Tevez play and get Johnson and Yakubu working together and scoring. They have already proved they can sweep the length of the pitch and score with ease so if these two hit it off Vaughan will be 4th or 5th choice. I hope that Vaughan will be a hero in blue but to call him the number one striker this season is way too early and the sort of nonsense Moyes will do well to protect Vaughany from.

While I agree with the second paragraph, I don't think Anichebe has anywhere near close the skill that Vaughn has now, or his potential. Anichebe is that 'hammer' technique. Vaughn, who I for the longest time thought was in the AJ mould, is strong, powerful, fast, quick, good ball skills and a great shot. I would give Vic half of that.

My list, for now, would go:

Yak/AJ
Vaughn
.
.
.
Vic/McF.

Plus, with all the games we have, there is no reason all of our strikers can't play a decent part this season.

Football is a game of opinions but dont question mine as if yours are facts. I personally think Vaughan is a good striker and one that I would put top of my list. If you asked me in what order I would sell our strikers and therefore in priority its the list I gave.

Yes, I agree. It's great talking about these players when they are all such great talents. I think all 5 of our strikers will play a number of games this season.

I believe Anichebe is proving a lot of people wrong who thought he was not up to much. I think his finishing is very composed. His goal against the Greeks was a mix of strength and quality composure to tuck it away. The point really is not who is better between Vaughan and Anichebe, but that we have two great strikers in reserve behind two great international strikers. And if Mcfadden ever mistakes Everton blue for Scottish blue we will have mouthwatering options up top.

5 million for faddy
not in jan but yes in the summer
i think faddy is getting to the stage that he will want more and more starts and to be honest i cant see him getting it at everton

Yak can miss 10 chances in 1 game, but as long as he gets one, he is alright with me.

Andy Cole one of the top goalscorers of all time, missed 70% of his chances (not official).

You see Faddy misses chances and doesn't give the manager the headache.

Yakubu missed a hatful of chances today. Vaughan takes his, thats why he's up there as he will take the chances that AJ & Yakubu miss.

He's more than potential, he's the most consistent finisher we have.

If vaughan stays injury free he will be some player and i agree he is the clubs best finisher but yakubu is looking good.
We look a lot better playing with 5 in the midfield so that leaves 1 strikers place and 5 top class strikers,i hope moysie can keep them happy,i wonder if he might try aj on the flanks of a 5 man midfield.
