Usmanov

Dominic King’s article tonight had a similar mention of “talk that Kenwright will be replaced by Usmanov” as we saw a few days ago from another journo.

Please make this happen. The difference it would make to the stadium situation at least would be huge.

It is strange how someone with links to the club say that.

I would absolutely love it to happen more so it will instantly make us more attractive to the media, manager and players/agents having one of the richest men in the world own us.

I just dont see how he will come in considering Moshiri will own around 58% of the club - why would Usmanov want to be a minor partner when he has always been the main man out the two, unless Moshiri sells a bulk of his stake to Usmanov and revert to a minor partner I just cant see it.

From a rational point of view, investing in Arsenal makes little sense to me. As a major holding anyrate. It has the sniff of The top of the Curve to me.

From an ego, washing/legitimising cash, basis, deffo. Banking on an Asian/Indian/US expansion re TV and income, I can see the narrative. But I reckon some clubs have maxed out in the medium term. Arsenal are one of them. Chelsea as well fwiw.
And we would be somewhere near the bottom of the curve?

I wonder if he would cash in his shares at this point.?
Arsenal are about to enter a period of managerial transition, and should the wheels come off, allied with the boards determination to run on a tight budget, it could conceivably open a window of opportunity for Usmanov.
With fan unrest already rampant a downturn in form may well create the conditions for Usmanov to realise his dream.
After all he's waited this long why give up just now?

Oh and personally I dont see it making much difference to anything.

Im being honest, we will still get loans for the stadium, no matter whos in charge.
If he bought in a ould it be against the rules for him to do an absolutely huge kit sponsorship deal? To swerve FFP I mean

If he buys in we lose our USM deal for 1.

But as City show, FFP are just 3 words, they mean Jack.
I tried to make this point a few pages back. As the situation stands Moshiri and Everton have more access to Usmanov's wealth via sponsorship etc. than if he were to buy into the club.
Why change a system that works?

I’m convinced that he is already invested in this club through Farhad. Would it make sense to buy into a club that you already have control over through someone else? I’m not so sure. I can’t see him going balls deep into Everton until someone gives him an offer for the Arsenal shares that he can’t refuse.

And very much this.

Don't you think it's possible Moshiri was sent as the advance party in behalf of Usmanov? He's pretty much the organ grinder and Mosh the Monkey. (albeit a very intelligent monkey)

If this isn't complete by Christmas I'll be amazed.

I think it’s fairly obvious to all including Usmanov that Kronke won’t sell
He can afford to ride out the storm if he needs be.
His wife is worth 30 billion
