this is where the Silva shouts are confusing.

it appears he isn't used to working under a DoF, and isn't aligned with the super agent mino raiola, like brands is.

I thought that was why we were bringing him on board, but I just cant see it working.

I dont think its a big deal that silva (or any other candidate) is not used to working under a dof. As long as the roles are well defined and laid out clearly during the hiring process they ought to be able to cope. If a candidate is not interested in thay system, move on to the next.

The reality is, if he/we are indeed ruthless in turning over a huge chuck, we can raise possibly £50m? Add another £50m+ on top and give the new Manager a chance to buy 2 or 3 quality footballers. No more £25m+ spent overpaying for average. Spend £40-£50m each on 3 top footballers. I think that should be our aim every Summer. It will take a few Summers.
Based on our increased revenues this past season from deals and the TV money, and our ability to sell Schneiderlin, Besic, Sandro and Bolasie for at least 100 million, I do think we will have that much to spend. I think we will need 110 million to have a great window of signing 3 top players, and then 1 younger player for 5-10 million. You'd love to remove the entire squad in a window, but the problem is its just too much turnover. The rest of the squad will look worlds better when you simply put in a top CB, a top LB, and remove Schneiderlin, Davies, and Bolasie from the field. Replace those three with the likes of NZonzi, Lookman, Unyekuru, and even someone like Wilshire on a free.

Fun fact- Aboriginal Australians use it as a slang term over here with an i instead of an o to mean messing around....

For example: Everton are gonna win the league... ahhhh gammin

I'm living in Australia right now and I've never heard that term. What region?

The key is replacing those types with 3 better footballers that walk into the 11.

lads this is the farhad moshiri thread, not trip advisor!

Not a big fan of sydney tbh but love Victoria.... lived in Bendigo for a couple of years.... had an ex missus in Swan Hill and current Missus is from Mildura.... where are you at?

Bayside, I'm near the city. I've been to Bendigo a few times, lovely place.

I’m just outside Mornington, lovely place but cold today though.

Just to keep it on topic, I don’t think Farhad would live here, but he’d possible enjoy visiting
