He had a run of games (something conveniently forgotten by his handful of admirers). He was poor, very poor. We cant hang around waiting for a feller with no pace or athleticism to acquire pace and athleticism.

Football is all about opinions so I'm not going to say you are wrong, but to me that run of games was already when the rot had started and we were trying to fit him and Rooney in the same team. Today was an obvious chance to stick him in from the start with no other recoginsed 10 and see what he could do.

Tbf to him he was up for it , he was in all the right positions and our entire game plan was for Coleman to cross it far post and bypass him.

He didn’t really affect the game due to our tactics , showed a few decent touches and a nice shot despite the handball.

He wasn’t offensive , nowhere near as bad as he could have been. I think he should start the next game and let everyone have a look at him

Clearly has a football brain. Deserves a chance.

People go on about DCL needing chance after chance as he’s young, but don’t want to give a £24 million Ajax captain a fair crack of the whip. Very odd.
Maybe he’s just that bad/not suited to the league. Even Koeman judged that and he’s the dummy that signed him

We tried that in the cup games: he stunk.

I know we have more pressing matters to get animated about, but the attempt to breathe life into this lad's Everton career is beyond the pale.

I mean no malice to the lad. As I said already, it is not his fault.

I think it's pretty clear that Klassen needs the team to play in a certain style that works around him.

Unfortunately we forgot what any style of football is this season

He tries hard in training - sounds like a perfect Bill Blue to me, he'll be here for years to come lol

I think people are getting a little carried away with his 5 minutes today.

I don't think it has anything to do with today, we have collectively wanted him to be given a run of games where the team doesn't look like rabbits in headlights. If you put Ronaldo in this side he would be branded crap as we can't get the a decent ball forward. Everyone works off scraps so if you are not an industrious type you look like you haven't done bugger all.

Just remember how we all jumped on Niasse, everytime he comes on now he looks like our best player.

Seen enough of him to know he's a good footballer. Seems to me that he'd be more suited to team that plays the ball on the deck at tempo and he can pick up positions between the lines and make things happen with his little lay-offs. Also got an eye for a goal looking at his record. Never a top player in this league but could be effective depending on the manager and his style of football.

You can spot the real football people on here, the people that see what Davy Klaassen is all about, the 1s who know that No Besic is a player.

I might ask the mods for a sub forum so me and my people can discuss true footballing talent instead of people wetting themselves over Willy Zaha and that no neck midget from Stoke.
