we've had players who have played 8 months of no impact nothing football and your berating him for 8 minutes do me a favour.
No, I saw him when he arrived and was played. He was that off the pace and rank even the nobhead who paid an eye watering £25M dispensed with his services.

Davy, all of the other signings from last summer and the kids should all get free passes for this season considering the state of the whole squad and the managers they've had to play under, and give them a go under a progressive manager who knows how to balance a team.
No mate. It's unforgivable to have no pace in this league. He will be found out week in week out.

I actually hold no grudge toward him. He isn't to blame that he doesn't have the required skill set for the PL. I blame that beaut Koeman 100%.

The lad needs sending down to a smaller Euro league where he's better suited.

£12M to put to another signing is better than having this no mark for the next 3 years picking up a kings ransom in wages.

Just put him in the file marked: "Koeman's failures" and move on.

We can't just bin everyone who doesn't work out in the first season. Baines didn't get much of a look in the first year he signed, should he have been as quickly branded useless? We can't afford to keep spending possibly buying another 30M player that could have the same issues.

Bottom line is most foreign players have issues adjusting and more to the point we are not getting the best out of him with how we play. He was good enough being a captain of an Ajax side that got to the Europa league final, there is a player in him. Some players you don't ask to tackle everything in sight, if we had bought Mata would we be expecting that? We have to play to his strengths, look at what he does good and play and organise a team to compensate for any weaknesses of one individual player while trying to enhance all the positives. We haven't got a manager who can do this yet.

He needs a run of games where the team go forward to see if he has what it takes.

Gotta at least wait until we get a decent manager in, Klassen would be a great fit for some styles of play. If we're going for pure pace and power then yeah sure bin him off but be daft to do that before new manager comes in.

Of course if Sam stays then might as well bin the whole lot and take up rugby

you saw him when he first arrived and what you saw has made your mind up he's crap ok. If you'd watched him after playing the same amount of game time as Rooney Davis shnids Bolasie who have to different degrees been crap along with others you might have a case but the lad has not been given any sort of run in the team to get up to speed with the PL.

He had a run of games (something conveniently forgotten by his handful of admirers). He was poor, very poor. We cant hang around waiting for a feller with no pace or athleticism to acquire pace and athleticism.

What do you think he's shown so far that suggests a better future for him here?
