Shows how bad the scouting and recruitment in the club is for shelling all that money for a defender in the last year of his contract who played for the most defensive low block team in the history of the EPL.

All the top 6 knew he had no recovery pace and would only thrive in a low block team defending the edge of the box,none of those teams play that way so all the top 6 took a big swerve.

Regardless of who the manager is, if we do have a clearout in the summer he has got to be one of the first out of the door apart from maybe Mirallas. He is just rubbish, i can't believe how much we paid for him and how bad he actually is.
