I can still remember a few great teams of the 70/80/90 that played 2 out and out wingers that hugged the touchlines
Leeds of the 70s , Manure under Docherty and Ferguson

Not only 70s to 90s mate. The best managers of the current game build their team around pacy winger with abilities to dribble with ease. No Football side can achieve anything meaningful without such setup.

Look at pep, his game plan, no matter which team he manages, consist of winger deploying as high and as wide as possible regardless if the ball is at the opposite side of the pitch.

I can’t recall any side being successful without playing such system in my entire life watching football.
We’ve never had proper winger since Kenchelski and Limpar. It’s no coincidence Moyes never manage to win anything with us as he never fancy getting a proper winger throughout his 9 years with us.

I think he has got potential (like Lookman). Both players carry a bit of 'x-factor' to their game so sadly I do not see a future for them at Everton. We'll probably do a swap deal with Watford and get Cleverley back; Tom's more cut to Everton's cloth.

But we were losing. Badly.
Actually if you go back in the results mate we didn't start losing badly until bolasie walked back into the team. We had something like 4 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses up until that point under allardyce. Bolasie walked back in and then we didn't win for a number of weeks.

Not saying it was bolasie fault we lost games, but just answering your point about the results between lookman playing and bolasie replacing him instantly.

Lookman didn't play that often...one start six sub appearances no goals, hence he went on loan. His only decent game was in the dead EL rubber.

He played well when he came on in the derby though?
Cameo appearances are all well and good, but until he can play well consistently loaning him is the best option.I think he made a mistake opting for Germany,a loan to Derby would have been of far more benefit.I really hope he comes good for us but I have a feeling his ego outweighs his ability.

He is a Moyes type of a player. A manager like him would have improved his nous of the game and overall play. That doesn't mean I want Moyes back by any means.

You are forgetting the fa cup game matw right before he was dropped.

Where he came on and caused all kinds of issues for their defence whilst bolasie was messing about and losing possession on the other side.
